I studied in Malayalam medium, English being the second language. To talk about my English standard, I was an average student and I studied only up to SSLC. Later I got a job in a private company, out of Kerala. I was very interested to improve my English standard. The speciality of our office is that most of the office staff were Malayalees. Among the other language speakers, there was a gentle man who was the native of that place and also very well-versed in English. Luckily enough, among the senior staff, one Mr Unnithan, who is very senior to me also very good at drafting the letters and many other things. In the starting, I used to get the work such as typing in the the typewriter, etc. In those days there was no computer.. Before completion of my one year service, the person who was exclusively engaged in the typing job, left the service since he got a better job in Gulf country. One thing I have to mention here is that, the above person who left the job was very fluent in English, especially he had graduated in English as main from Madras Christian college. Before he leaves the job I used to be very friendly with him and requested him to help me improving the English language skills. After his leaving the service, I tried my utmost to be a good student to that person, about whom I firstly told that he was a native of that place. He had also graduated from Madras Christian college and used to read a lot. Other than library books of English, he used to read a lot of magazines, etc. A major part of his salary was being spent on books and magazines. The other funny thing--actually, as for me, it was not a funny thing--I must say is that, the other Malayalee staff, most of them are at my age didn't show any interest in improving their English, even though they had studied upto SSLC with Malayalam as their first language. The important advice my 'guru' (I mean that gentleman - he was much older to me) gave me: "You start reading the children's books; while taking those books, you dont feel ashamed. If anybody asked, you tell them that these are for my neighbour children. Then I started reading mainly children's books, including Chandamama. I found those books ver useful to me. The actual funny thing I have yet to say is that whenever I showed interest in improving the language and started speaking in English, my Malayalee colleagues used to make fun of me; their only aim is that to dampen my interest in studying. Once they nicknamed me 'ENGLISH BHASKARAN'. But, I never tired of this and took it as a challenge and could succeed in that. I could speak better than them, draft letters better than them, etc. Even there are such memorable moments which are still green in my memory such as, some of them used to approach me for letter drafting, as they could realize that Bhaskaran was far better than them. I wrote a lot, which may bore you, which I am afraid of. Now I am retired for 2 1/2 years. I am still trying to improve my language skill. I have gone through many Spoken English classes through you tube, out of which the classes I value very much is that of yours and Ms Vini. I made use of your classes and advise the youngsters to follow both of your classes. With the hope that if not many, some of the youngsters who studied Malayalam will be inspired by my above experience. Thank you Ms Soni, continue your efforts, which can be definitely useful for the Spoken English leaners.🙏

ടീച്ചർ അടിപൊളി ഉപദേശങ്ങൾ .100 % സത്യം .പക്ഷെ മലയാളത്തിൽ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അദ്ധ്യാപകർ ഉള്ള School , എല്ലാവരും ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിക്കണം എന്നു പറയുന്ന അധ്യാപകർ ഉള്ള സ്കൂളുകൾ , പക്ഷെ 12 ക്ലാസ്സു വരെ ഒരു ടീച്ചറും കുട്ടിയും ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിക്കില്ല. അഥവാ ഏതെങ്കിലും ടീച്ചർ fluent ആയി ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിച്ചാൽ ഉറപ്പാക്കാം , ആ ടീച്ചർ അടുത്ത state ൽ നിന്നും തന്നെ . ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിക്കുന്ന area , Community, country, ഇവിടെ പോകാതെ സ്വന്തം പ്രയത്നം കൊണ്ട് ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ വർഷത്തിനുളളിൽ fluent ആയി ആരെങ്കിലും ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിച്ചാൽ, അവരെ നമ്മൾ അംഗീകരിച്ചേ മതിയാകൂ. ടീച്ചർ ഗൾഫിൽ പോയില്ലായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നല്ല fluent ആകാൻ എത്ര നാൾ വേണ്ടിവന്നേനെ .4 ലക്ഷത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ ബംഗാളികളിൽ മിക്കവരും മലയാളം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ സഹായത്തോടെ മിക്ക കച്ചവടക്കാരും ഹിന്ദിയും സംസാരിക്കുന്നു കാരണം ഭാഷ ഒരു vocal practice ആണ് നീന്തൽ Typing driving പോലെ. തീരുമാനം ഉറച്ചതായിരിക്കണം ഒപ്പം തുടർച്ചയായ പ്രാക്ടീസും' ഞാനും ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിക്കാൻ പഠിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു ഏതുമരമണ്ടനും മനസ്സിലാകുന്ന ഭാഷയിലുള്ളതാണ് ടീച്ചറിൻ്റെ ക്ലാസ്സുകൾ വളരെ നന്ദി (എൻ്റെ കാര്യം ആണ് പറഞ്ഞത് ) ഇതൊരു long term process ആണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങുന്നവരോട് grammar തെറ്റി structure തെറ്റി എന്നു പറയുന്നവനെ തൊഴിക്കണം എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയും. മലയാളത്തിലെ grammar അറിയാവുന്നവർ വളരെ കുറച്ചു മാത്രം .പിന്നെ സംസാരിക്കാൻ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഗ്രാമർ എന്തിനു പഠിക്കണം? പിന്നെ ഉള്ളത് Accent ഇതു പറയുന്ന മലയാളിയോട് ചോദിക്കണം " നീ മ ലയാളിയല്ലേ ? കുന്നംകുളം കാരൻ മലയാളം speed -ൽ പറഞ്ഞാൽ നിനക്ക് മനസ്സിലാകുമോ?" ആ പ്രശ്നം അവിടെ തീരും 🙏THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT ADVICE🙏

Thank you teacher.❤ ഒന്ന് രണ്ട് വീഡിയോയേ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളൂ എങ്കിലും ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് നന്നായി പഠിക്കണം സംസാരിക്കാനും കഴിയണം എന്ന് വല്ലാത്ത ആഗ്രഹം ആണ്. ഇതിന് മുന്നേ വേറെ കുറെ ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചെങ്കിലും എന്തോ പഠിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കില്ല എന്നൊരു തോന്നൽ അതിൽ നിന്നും പിന്തിരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഒരു ദിവസം ടീച്ചറിന്റെ വീഡിയോ കാണാൻ ഇടയായി. ടീച്ചറിന്റെ സംസാരം പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്ന രീതി എല്ലാം വളരെയധികം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ തന്നെ പഠിക്കണം മലയാളം ചേർത്ത് പറയരുത്.എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞതാണ് എനിക്ക് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പഠിക്കാൻ പറ്റും എന്ന ആത്മവിശ്വാസം വന്നത്. ഞാനിപ്പോ ടീച്ചർ 100 ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വാക്കുകൾ പറഞ്ഞത് എഴുതിയെടുത്തു. അതിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും അറിയാവുന്ന വാക്കുകളാണ്. ആരെങ്കിലും ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ Msg അയച്ചാല് മലയാളത്തിൽ മറുപടി അയയ്ക്കും. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് തെറ്റിയാലോ എന്നുള്ള പേടിയായിരുന്നു. ഇന്നത്തെ ഈ ക്ലാസ്സ് കൂടുതൽ പ്രചോദനമായി. 🙏♥️♥️♥️🙌👍

ക്ലാസ് കേൾക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട് ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങളെ ആയുള്ളൂ . എല്ലാം വളരെ നല്ലത് എന്നല്ല .കണ്ടതിൽ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ചത് എന്ന് ഉറപ്പായും പറയാം .പുതിയ ജോലിക്ക് ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ഫ്രണ്ട്സായ നാലഞ്ചു പേർക്ക് മാഡത്തിന്റെ ചാനൽലിങ്ക് ഞാൻ അയച്ചു കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട് . ഞാൻ SSC 87 bach ആണ് അന്നൊക്കെ ടീച്ചറിനെ പോലുള്ള ഒരു ടീച്ചറുണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ എന്ന് 50+ ലും വെറുതെ മോഹിച്ചുപോവുന്നു . മാഡത്തിന്റെ എളിമയും ലാളിത്യവും കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ടീച്ചറിന്റെ സ്റ്റുഡന്റ്സി നോട് അസൂയതോന്നിയിരുന്നു . ദൈവം ആരോഗ്യത്തോടെയുള്ള ദീർഘായുസ്സ് നൽകട്ടെ .... അടുത്തയാഴ്ച ഒരു ഇന്റർവ്യൂ ഉണ്ട് . ഇത് കാണുകയാണെങ്കിൽ മേഡം ഒരു സന്ദേശം അയക്കണം എന്റെ നമ്പർ 8007777677

Mam I have 33 years When I watched this vedio some things u had told have very similarities one difference is there was no one more educated in my family to correct me but from third standard onwards I started self studying grammar and speaking English I had searched more opportunities to present my self study but didn’t get because I worked in Kerala and didn’t get opportunity to talk anyone but now I got a job and needs to improve my speaking skill and that’s why I started watching u and with all ur support I am going to start speaking 😍
