Interesting concept. My moss poles have the mesh and the plastic inverted. .. more plastic lining and less mesh. It keeps it moist longer.

Interesting! I'm a fan of the plastic, it gives me a break and it doesn't get too crunchy! I will try to make her a little bit skinnier so the moss doesn't get too heavy, as I'm struggling with the balance of my tall moss poles

I add systemic granules to the top of my pole, under my watering cup, (if I’ve already made the pole) seems to really help I’m with you, I can appreciate people doing things “their way” but the same things don’t work for everyone, I love seeing all the different ways moss poles can be made and all this time I’ve been waiting for one style to hit home for my care environment, just found it! Thanks for not being like so many others and doing something different ❤ I’m excited to see how you use Saran Wrap, I had just started my Amydrium med silver on one and wrapped Saran around the node I wanted to attach, I went on holiday, it rotted right at that spot, I had to restart the plant

Btw, I’m so glad you mentioned the Bonide systemic insecticide! I’ve used that stuff since like 2010, and I swear by it for all potted plants. Both inside and outside pots. Nobody, except you and like 2 other KZbinrs, has ever discussed using it. I originally bought it for fungus gnats, and it totally worked. Then I realized it works for every pest imaginable! Meanwhile everyone’s crying on YT about their problems with thrips, aphids, mealybugs, scale, fungus gnats, or other pests… and making some weird homemade remedy that barely works. Lol.

Yes! 🔥An absolute game changer! and the spinosad capt Jack's bug spray has been able to squash any sus looking activity on the leaves. Thrips melt! 🙏🏼🙌🏼
