You need a scalpum. Mine is a good grower and so unique. I also have the purple cloak which grows those to long stems that I really don't like. I also have a pink dragon which held onto all its leaves over winter then come Spring and it lost them. Now it only has 3. Anyway, I will always watch your content because I think you are very honest about your experience with Alocasia and not many utubers talk about them.

🧡🧡Thank you for watching! I was able to get a Scalprum, super excited to see it grow. Interesting about the winter pink dragon. Could it be that the AC not running increases the air moisture? That happens to me, we go to 60-65% during winter because nothing is running the AC.
Once they find their spot, they take off! But I've struggled getting to their happy place

New subscriber!! I love Alocasia, yours are very beautiful!! I just did a video of my Alocasia collection (mostly starters) and I want mine to get as lush as yours!!! Do you think they do better in leca or pon instead of a chunky aroid mix? All of mine are currently in fluval stratrum, I want to transition them to pon. Any suggestions?

I'd recommend the Pon. For sure. I just lift them from the stratum and don't touch the roots. Place it in the pot And cover it with the Pon, doing my best to not crush the roots together. Leca dried up a little too fast if you miss a watering. Particularly the Borneo Alocasia really need to not get bone dry.

Those are great pots, where do you get this from? Love your collection!

Thank you! The clear pots are Candy containers from Party City 😂

Awesome video, loved it as always ❤ What is the difference between the plants at 27:10? Is the left one a true Amazonica and the right one is a Polly?
@AllureAndInk3 ай бұрын
The smaller one is supposed to be a purpley without a lot of light and the other a Polly. But tbh I'd not bet one which is wish, super similar until you blast them with all the light
