My all time favorite gem is Kunzite and have several Kunzite jewelry pieces. Sadly all have fade to a pale pale pink even after carefully storing them in a dark place and not exposing them to direct/any sunlight. I think I will only love them from a far from now on but it’s a beautiful stone!

You left out padparascha!! It’s more of a salmon pink, but I totally think it belonged in this group

You know what? There was one sitting just off-screen, but we didn't have time to get to it. We love padparadscha, but we also wanted to feature some gems people maybe hadn't heard of before. We did do a video on padparadscha awhile back. Check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHKsY6GQoJ55jq8

Actually, according to the G.I.A., Padparadscha Sapphire is typically orange-Pink, to pinkish Orange.

You didn't say a word about rhodochrosite, pink opal, pink aragonite, pink sapphire, and rose quartz. Some varieties of amethyst (f.e. Rose de France) are also pinkish. 💕

Yeheey! Love this pink episode! I have my first pink spinel from Burma, kunzite, morganite, tourmaline and garnet. You guys are such an inspiration to expand my collection. It feels like every time I learned something from your video, I have the urge to find myself that gemstone too! 😂 I just noticed those lines of Kunzite and Tourmaline specimens that you showed, do they have the same cleavage planes? I think you missed the pink topaz, rhodolite, rhodonite and rhodochrosite from sweet home mine that you featured before (I think I will get a high score if there’s a quiz ) hahaha 😄

Love the spinel, a most underrated gemstone. I own a few of them, yes they come in pink, but also a lot of other colours, just like sapphires.

Love the video! Speaking of DnD, is it possible to have a set of dice made with naturally formed gems? (Ex. a 4 sided gem for a D4, an 8 sided gem for a D20)

you probably could but they wouldn't be balanced

I was frustrated that specimens were shown, but they did not say where they came from? I would like to know where the pink garnets were from?
@gems3 жыл бұрын
We can't always get to all the details we'd like to include, but we'll do our best to answer your questions here. In terms of the Raspberry Garnet, it is from Sierrra de las Cruces, Mexico.

Wow, all those pink gemstones are so beautiful and gorgeous.😃😍💎💖 It's very interesting on how they get their color and where they come from especially how rare to see one. I don't judge, I too like bubble gum as a kid.😏🍬 I love all of them still my favorites are the pink diamond and kunzite gemstone.🥰💕💎 Good video and thanks for sharing.🙂👍

I was thinking I didn’t have any pink gemstone, but then I remembered I had some large pink Topaz. Also I have 40 carats of rough pink Petalite which I believe due to it cleavage it difficult to facet.

Hey, I really like the videos. I was wondering if it’s possible if you could include the localities or country of origin in the description as well, or in future videos since some of the minerals you didn’t mention the locality/country of origin. Cheers!
@gems3 жыл бұрын
It's a good idea, but a number of our specimens are acquired from third parties and the exact locale is unknown. But we will try to give you more of this info moving forward!

I don’t think it should have been torn from the ruby class,for , l think political reasons ,& think ruby is a lesser gem without its rich scarlet hues which only ‘spinal ruby ‘could provide

As a Norwegian, I’m a bit sad that there wasn’t an honorable mention of thulite (the unofficial «national stone» of Norway). Such a beautiful pink mineral. I understand why it wouldn’t be in the video, but I did have a little hope that it would😅. Zoisite really do make some beautiful variations😁

Your correct. Coloured Diamonds are rare, especially red. Colourless Diamond is quite common. It’s perceived as rare due to clever marketing and manipulation of supply and demand by the big diamond companies like DeBeers.

I believe it's only an issue when it's being faceted or mined, when the cobalt can enter the body much more easily
