SFU is a great school, but it still remained in the phase where if one cannot get into UBC, then one tries to get into SFU, not the other way around.

I'm assuming you are all undergraduates? I'd say so if you write a negative comment. SFU has some amazing and unique research programs at least in what I'm familiar with (biology program). World class in my opinion. I can't wait to start

If SFU is so great, how come I don't see as many people proudly wearing SFU apparel on the streets compared to UBC students.

SFU is a much smaller school with nearly half the students of UBC. Also, UBC was established almost 60 years before UBC and therefore it has had many more students. UBC is also closer to down town Vancouver. If you walk around Burnaby or Surrey, you will see many proud SFU students supporting their school.
