Also the experience of redemption whether in Secondary market or redemption by issuer. Also he could have thrown some light on experience of trading of SGB. If some authority decides redemption price with some basis also there should be some basis for price at the time of issue

I have a question: I purchased 100K worth of gold sovereign bonds this month. After 3 or 4 months, can I add more money to this bond? One doubt, you said lock in period is ine year and then said it can be sold to govt after 5 years. Then what lockin period kf 1yr means? Whatever amount invested is total tax exempt? It is not part of 80c right? And if i sell it in secondary market before 1yr then also all investment amount is tax exempted?

You missed 1 thing 2.5% will be SIMPLE INTREST at base buying price not COMPOUND INTREST.

I have two question please answer me 1: if I buy it from my bank and keep it in my demat account till maturity then after maturity will I have to sell it in the open market at whatever the prices are at that time because generally due to low demand the prices in the stock market are lower as compared to the orginal market price, or the rbi will pay me directly into my bank account? 2: What if I buy it from the open market and hold it till maturity then what will happen who will pay me after maturity the rbi or I have to sell it in the open market at a loss?
