Type in cricut tutorials on you tube. PattyAnnes Place, Crifty crafty and craft with Sarah have some great ones but really its about finding who you like. Becky is phenomenal here. I like straight to the point not chit chatty. I have had cricut since 2007/2008 and just bought a cameo 4 with silhouette business edition and I thankfully still get Becky and PattyAnne.

My video is a bad example of this, but you can always reference your grid lines to make sure they stay straight. I turn my grid off, so I can't show you in this video what it looks like, but as long as your grid is on this will be easier. Hope this helps! ---Becky

still need help. thank you for your video. none of te videos i have watched do not address the height and width buttons. Are they for the height and width of the whole sentence? whole saying for a sign? or just letters? so if it says 5 on height does that mean each letter is 5" tall or the whole deisng is 5" tall. I want to make a sign like 8" wide x 5" tall. Then if i make a sentence and i want to add a word after the design is saved, how do i do it? thank you

Hi. I noticed that when you start a new project, your operation box say's "cut" in the operation box. I can only seem to get" basic cut" which prints then cuts the text. How do I get it that it is "cut" only as you have it. Hope this makes sense. Many thanks

Thanks Becky, this was a great tutorial! Question: Do you have to "purchase" the fonts "first" before working with the character map and the dingbats & glyphs? Or will this technique also work with some of the "free" fonts within Cricut Design Space?

Hey Mary! This technique will work with any font, but only certain fonts will have the extra glyphs for you to use. I'm not overly familiar with what fonts are available in Design Space since I grab most of mine from FontBundles.net. @@DesignBundles I downloaded the Childish font. In the character map, using Unicode sub range and private use characters, I am getting boxes with x’s. Does that mean there is none, or that I am doing something wrong?

Hi Kristen! After you type your wording, highlight it and then click weld. This will make the letters all one, connected word. - Dawn

Is there a way of writing (say) 3 lines of text in a text box, then having all 3 lines a different font? I have only manage to achieve this by having 3 text boxes, then put them together as near as possible. there must be an easier way. Thank you. Julie

Hi there! To change each line to a different font, they would need to be different text boxes, otherwise it will adjust the font for all three lines in one box.

Hi Rebekah, of course! To do this, you would first want to pick out your fonts :) We have lots of fonts over on Font Bundles! fontbundles.net/ There is also a free section! :) Once you have downloaded your fonts, you will want to unzip the folders and install the fonts. The process for installing the fonts varies by device, this guide shows you how on a PC and a Mac: designbundles.net/design-school/how-to-install-fonts-windows-mac Once the fonts are installed, you will need to restart Design Space if you already had it open and then you can select the text tool and pick the fonts you want to use from the drop down menu!
