I knew when the Bakassi case was going on. Most of us were heartbroken when the area was handed over to Cameroun. Obj and his men did that. The inhabitants of Bakassi are our people. A lot of them still insist on returning home to Nigeria till date. Even most Camerounians from Limbe,close to Cross River still see themselves as Calabar people. Their physical features are 1 to 1 with that of our people from CR and Akwa Ibom States. Atrocities of the British,french and germans.

However, the dispute started because Yakubu Gowon gave Bakasi to Cameroun during the Nigerian-Biafra civil war. At least this is what Cameroun claimed in the court with documents to prove it. Nigeria wanted it back but OBJ conceded in court

These are not Onitsha market talk. Cameroon political Machines understand Nigeria weakness, Confusion and less focused. Nigeria has mountain of challenging domestic problems that their leaders get caught up,Confused and less focused. Nigeria Government hired 21 British Law professors each paid 1 million dollars to defend their case against Cameroon in The Haque, Holland. Cameroon hired the best from Europe France, Switzerland and Belgian Law professors 10 of them. Cameroon team headed by Sobourn Professor Maurice Kamto humiliated the Nigerians team in the Court.
