Keep the truck. Take care of it. Keep it a pavement princess. In 20 years you will be so happy. Treat the body panels, cab corners, rocker panels and frame with fluid film and it will never rust.

First thing first, oil those hood hinges, and buy the brackets that strengthen the crush points before you put a crease in it while closing it. Original 73-80 hoods in good shape are hard to find!

Keep them oiled well, and install the braces now, before you have the slightest hint of a kink, as a preventative!

Nice that the price of long bed square bodies is still at least reasonable so young kids that want to can get into them as a first rig. If this had been a shortbed 4x4 half ton it would have probably cost much more! I always liked long bed look anyway when lifted a little, and of course the bed is more useful.

Best squarebodys are the 73-80 roundeyes! To me I never liked the 81-87 squareeyes but like the 87-92 suburban dually flatnose trucks tgat look like the 88-89 obs chevys!

WD-40 will clean that steering wheel just spray and scrub works a wonder it did for me But very cool truck

Get you a bumper off an 84 85 that has the brackets that bolt it to the frame with external carage bolts but a good Reese hitch is nice too. I pulled an after market bumper apart pulling a 92 full-size blazer on a 16’ trailer.

Thanks. We were talking about it tonight and think we may build a more off-road oriented bumper out of rectangular tube. Then we can more easily build a good hitch into it. More for recovery and lighter doing towing.

LMC truck has reproduction parts. I would say 20k all day in CALIFORNIA if you sold it.
