I just saw a red tailed hawk eating a pigeon on a fire escape in Bronx New York.
@foxruneec Жыл бұрын
Awesome!! Keep your eye out for falcons as well. I've heard NYC has a large population of Peregrines. Many birds of prey have adapted to life in large cities where there are lots of rodents and pigeons to feed on.

I did make an error while editing photos! 1:40 the guy eating a snake is a red-shouldered hawk - a very similar species!

You also got one thing wrong about all subspecies having a red tail. Harlan's do not.
@foxruneec Жыл бұрын
Thank you @@cptbfrank that's interesting and I wasnt aware of that. I see they have two color morphs and may have much lighter coloring. Thanks for sharing!

Ive lost multiple pet chickens to one of these. Drives me crazy. Been putting up canvas's to deter them but they are smart enough to get in other ways.
@foxruneec11 ай бұрын
Ive used chicken tractors with wire mesh sides (not chicken wire) to protect chickens. That way you can move the tractor to fresh grass every day but the chickens are safe.

We Have Type Of Hawk In UK And Why Did You Say Chicken Like Hawk Just Saying 🤨
