Very helpful. Thank you. Also the best lighting I've seen in a barber's video to date. Bravo to whomever set the lights. The camera work is making this video stand out.

Thank you! 16” beauty dish with a diffuser on camera left and a wand sitting vertically behind the head camera right. I wasn’t feeling like being on camera this day so I decided to obscure myself a bit in the recording and go with an ultra shallow DOF (85mm F1.4) and to allow unnecessary details to fall dark.

Great job. Now, being a portrait photographer if I can get my barbering skills to your level of lighting skills.... I'm just cutting my wife's and daughter's hair, so it won't happen very soon 😁 But with your guidance and tips I hope I can get good enough. Thank you. 🙇♂️

My barber instructors who were in their late 70’s and 80’s taught me to hold my comb just like that. Works great

This was very helpful. Especially when you were talking about doing scissor over comb on longer hair, it's better to start at the top and work your way down and also if you cut the hair when it is laying down in its natural position it will create a weight line. Thanks for the video.

Appreciate the info! Definitely one of the best channels on KZbin, you deserve more recognition. If you could give new barbers one word of advice what would you share?

Thank you for breaking it down into such detail. Really like this one. Could you do a similar video breaking down the fundamentals of cutting the top and connecting it to the sides and crown?
