I cannot tell you how many doctors have ignored my dizziness over the years. I've always been sensitive to motion and get car sick and air sick easily. Elevators are the worst! My dizziness happens so frequently that I do not leave the house without Dramamine. Recently, something has changed. DRAMATICALLY. I'm absolutely terrified. About 6 months ago I started having some of the worst vertigo attacks of my entire life. I thought we were having an earthquake! In Florida! I was literally moving from one side of the room to the other as if I were on a rocky boat in the middle of a storm. It has gotten so bad that I cannot go to work, I'm in bed sick most days and my vision has become seriously diminished. I have suffered with migraines since I was 13 yrs old. I always get the dizziness and vertigo with them. This will not go away. My new insurance starts in 2 weeks. Questions. Have you ever treated anyone with my symptoms? What can I take for it? How can 8 describe this 5o my new physician without sounding crazy? Because it's overwhelming and 6 long months of this has me stressed anxious and on edge. It's debilitating. Please help.

Thanks so much for this comprehensive amazing video!! I have lived with this for 26 years now and I want to get better!! I live in a smaller city in BC Canada and as asking to see a Neurologist and ENT doctor. I have been taking notes regarding this so I'm educated and doctors don't try to short me with the Lorazepam!!! It's been the only thing that has given me a quality of life!! Without it I'm a shut out.

@TheDizzyCook Жыл бұрын
Usually vestibular disorders can cause some visual disturbances but you may want to look into migraine and binocular vision dysfunction to rule those out too. I often see neuritis misdiagnosed when its actually migraine (myself included)

Today is May 17, 2021...I got Dr. Beh's book a few weeks ago and WOW....have had trouble getting any doctor to diagnose VM but last week, the Physical Therapist I am going to for the balance and dizziness, said she does believe I have VM's...tomorrow I am going to the store and will be getting the food...I've waited because Friday I stopped eating sugar... and it's hard to stop eating it but I'm determined...
@TheDizzyCook3 жыл бұрын
Sugar isn't a main trigger for most people if you want to keep it in on occasion. It just is a good idea to pair it with a full meal that contains fat and protein - I have more on this in my book!

Most likely, yes. Every treatment combines to bring your overall threshold to getting attacks higher. So combining a good diet with supplements, meds, sleep schedule, etc. can all be very helpful.

I've just been told i possibly have vestibular migraine. Is having weak legs a part of the illness? When I try to walk apart from being incredibly light- headed, my legs seem like jelly. For sufferers is it normal only to be able to walk for a few minutes? I lose all energy then and the wave in my head becomes incredible.
