Great vid!! Would you say the course at edinburgh is very practical? And also do you find travelling between the easter bush campus and main city difficult and time consuming, or can you stay at the vet med site?

I’ve got a offer from both vet schools and I really don’t know which one to choose. As an international student, I’ve never been to the RVC nor edi vet school🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you!🖤

Hi congratulations on your offer, that’s amazing! Yes it’s definitely something I’m going to film in the future! I personally prefer Edinburgh vet school for multiple reasons e.g. campus feels more welcoming, out in the country side, campus is only for vet students whereas rvc campus is in the middle of Camden, campus can feel cramped at times and also you are only there for a few years then you get moved out to potters bar. The teaching styles are very similar with lectures but with talking to my friends that are still at rvc they’ve had very little hands on classes with animals or any dissections (1st year at Edinburgh we dissected out a whole dog to help visualise whats going on in the lectures)! One negative with Edinburgh there little chance to socialise with anyone other than vets but there is plenty of societies and sport clubs you can join to get to know people out with vet school! Accommodation - it was amazing living in London with everything on your doorstep and theres plenty of places to go visit. However, it’s very expensive for accommodation and living costs. Now I’m at Edinburgh I live at home so can’t really comment on the accommodation but it’s so much cheaper and still got beautiful Scotland to explore! That’s just my opinion please do more research/get more opinions and see what suits you the best! You never know I might see you at Edinburgh vet school one day, best wishes x

​@@theweeequestrian8060 Yea the Easter Bush campus looks super nice (from the internet), but I've heard that students have to travel around 40mins (not sure if they are referring to a single/return journey) on a bus to the campus?? This is my biggest concern... And also, do you think that you have missed out some fun since you live at home, or might feel a bit left out sometimes? Because my family and I have recently immigrated to the UK, and living with them would really save a lot of money - but I'm worried about not being able to socialise as much compared to an 'accomodation life'. Lemme know what do you think, thanks a lot!!! ☺️

@@isabellachan6576 I think it’s dependant on where you accommodation is but it was the same for me living in London and travelling to rvc. I lot of people in my year used that as wind-down time from a busy day! Also for second year many students move into private let’s closer to the campus! No I don’t feel like I’ve missed out on anything from living at home! I made a great group of girl when I started at edi, remember everyone is on the same boat and everyone wants to make some new friends ☺️

I study bvetmed at rvc and its the best vet school in the world(literally). From my experience its really cool but im only in my first year. good luck w exams

Im a Scottish student so I did Higher and Advanced Highers which is different grades to GCSE

i wanna know something , what is the eligibility criteria for vet science , do i need to do any bachelors degree first or i can apply for it right after my 12th and my subjects in 12th were Biology , Physics , Chemistry , English and physical education , are these enough for vet science!!???????? please someone from UK reply !!!!!!!

I didn't take any GCSES or A levels, I took a BTEC in Applied Science and doing animal sciences to get into vet med. But if you have Biology, Physics, Chemistry A levels your good to go

Nothing sad about it - just shows the bond a mother has for their offspring. They were getting moved out to the field. This is the easiest and is a less stressful way of moving both mother and lamb 😊
