Same, bro. We all have a degree of inner darkness, but this inner darkness is oftentimes fueled by love. He loved his mother so much, that's why he killed all the tusken raiders. He loved Padame, that's why he joined the dark side when promised power to prevent people from dying. I love my family so much, too, and would do a lot of things to protect them. If that makes me dark, so be it. The Jedi way of not allowing yourself to feel at all for your loved ones is ludicrous. Someone should have helped his mother. That's why he felt stabbed in the back.

His story is so tragic, but also shows what a Jedi *must* be. They must accept attachments to get a better sense of understanding of the people around you. And Anakin did fulfill his destiny not just by destroying the Sith but also the Jedi. Had they not been destroyed, over time, the Jedi would have become a Sith Order in their own way. Makes one wonder about every detail regarding their downfall before the prequels.

U have to understand why the council forbid attachment. Attachment can make someone stay in the light as much as it can stray someone away from the light and into darkness. Loss, can cause suffering, anger, and hate depending on the jedis control. I mean anakin is a prime example. If a jedi was too lose their loved one due to another's doing i could see how the jedi would turn to the darkside therefore would have to be restricted/forbid from attachment however attachment can create greater love and compassion for others which keeps them in the light. Attachment can be good or bad, depending on the jedi themselves and the circumstances

Jesus Christ what a stupid take. The Jedi would have become a new sith order? Did we watch the same movies? The Jedi did get too involved with the politics of the Old Republic, but they didn't have a choice. They knew from Qui Gon death that a Sith was entrenched in the senate, they had to help the republic win the war against the Separatists. The Jedi weren't perfect but they tried. Yoda had a point, they did grow to be too confident and too reliant on seeing the future and acting accordingly but they didn't deserve to be slaughtered when all they wanted was to bring peace back to the Galaxy and the Republic.

I feel Anakin…. Just wanting to do good but nothing you do is good enough to the people you look up to. You want to belong but don’t fit in. You begin to feel “mellow” and numb at first because you don’t know why they ridicule you. All you want is to please, but that’s not good enough. In time you the numbness fades and rises into boiling anger and hate mostly for yourself, also towards others especially those who you looked up to. You seem to forget that there is still people who love you. But no one sees you struggling because they are all to focussed on their own “battles”. The dark side is taking over and your sense for love and forgiveness is now numb to the point that you feel there is no turning back. I feel sad when I see Anakin’s story because I can relate at this time of my life…

He wasn’t a king on either side of the force. That’s why his story was so tragic. He was born a slave and almost died one. He was forced to obey the Jedi and call them master. Same with the sith. The only moments of true freedom he ever experienced were right before his death. When his son decided he would rather die than hurt his father and Anakin Skywalker decided that he would finally be his own master and make his own choice. Without the love the Jedi and the Sith told him he shouldn’t feel, the love he always felt so strongly, everyone would have been doomed.

I felt so much sympathy for anakin in this movie is because he was crushed when they rejected him to become a Jedi master, and to be honest he absolutely earned that cause he worked so so so hard for that , and he was angry at the Jedi for rejecting his right as a Jedi master but also he was deceived by palatine who lied to him, and he also wanted to save his wife from a tragic death, but what she really died from was him turning to the dark side, his nightmares were blocked by palatine and didn’t show him the real way she died, all he wanted was to be happy and it was all taken away.

He wouldn't listen to his teacher's instruction. he sought power in order to go against the way of nature. Death is natural, Anakin wanted to change that, and in so doing ended more lives than can be counted

When you think about it, if Anakin would have done nothing to try to save padme (as we all know he did do something by going to the dark side and that was inevitably what killed her) then she would have lived and he would have been a hero for killing Palpatine and not Windu😢 My point is, his vision of the future of Padme dying at childbirth WAS going to happen, but anakin didn’t know that it was himself trying to do something about it that made it actually come true. It’s heartbreaking
