With Hosea's death, Dutch has no one to reason with him, so he turns to Micah who escalated Dutch's insanity, causing the friction in the gang. Hosea was awesome but everyone was going to die anyway except for Sadie and Charles. Ross says in RDR1 that John and Dutch are the very last member of the gang still alive. We don't even know what happened to Sadie and Charles between 1907-1911.

There's actually a glitch you can do in the game where if one of the gang members breaks you out start shooting up the town and don't let whoever broke you out get on their horse and leave And then if you keep them around and keep shooting up the town after a while they will become your companion

So high bounties or crimes that would result in a hanging triggers these? I've only been arrested once during the story for assault and was cut loose no problem. After the story though i was arrested in St, Denis and bribed myself out.

No, it's just random, which is a shame. I would prefer if it happened every time you had a bounty high enough to cause a hanging like you say. Doesn't make much sense for you to be just released after paying your bounty otherwise.

@@madlad6d4_6 Yes, if you have a 1600$ bounty because you committed a genocide, either you pay the bounty and get away with it, or a gang member bails you out, and then it's free. The RP option IMO would be either you have a small bounty and you pay it to leave, or you have a high bounty and you still pay it (so the game punishes you for behaving badly) but a gang member frees you, and that explains you not hanging by the neck until dead.
