These tapes make me realise how much the fans tried to connect to the aligned continuity, specifically the books that are canon to TFP, I even believe the sea of rust was mentioned in one of the books

I don't know why, but Shockwave's Log 1162 catches the most of my atttention! An Autobot that shares the same body mold as Sharpshot named Bruiser? Autobot Insecticons should be an idea to look forward to!

ngl, it was this game introduced me to the word "unmentionables" i remember the first time i got that audio log, i couldnt breathe cause of a well performed voice acting of slapstick comedy

Perhaps. Really this boils down to the skill of an individual who wishes to make it. I see this more as a "short story" series than anything.

For the fifth Audio log - how come the Ark was built so poorly? It has weak armor and weapons. Why would the Autobots do that? They can build giant cities and massive robots, but they make the Ark so weak? They should make the Ark stronger. Give it more armor and guns.

The Autobots didn't create the giant buildings as most of the planet's buildings was already created before the war. Only the cons created massive robots in terms of Trypticon, Metroplex was created years before any of the Autobots were even alive. And for the ark, they made it so weak because they didn't have the energon needed to build it with more armor and better guns, or to keep it flying with it so heavy and keep the weapons firing at the same time. Their best move to save energon was to make the ark light and fast, as they believed running away from the fight was a better alternative to actually fighting it. I hoped this helped.

@@great159 1) The comment was made 2 years ago my guy. No one even remembers me saying that so I'm not sure what you're gaining by saying I'm wrong 2) You're right, no one ever said why it was weak other than that they focusing on running away/speed. Heard in the 5th and 7th audio log of the first set of logs. But there was no reference for the energon problem i mentioned, that was purely speculation. I don't remember why I said that because I was, again, two years ago.

@@great159 It was heavily implied they made the Ark so weak out of lack of energon and supplies. At this point the Autobots were losing due to Megatron having control of Dark Energon, and they likely built the Ark out of the remaining supplies they had. They were also very low on energon, and I'm assuming constructing more parts for the Ark would have required more than they had.

@@sashabraus9422 You're not wrong. In Defend the Ark, Sideswipe told Optimus that they'd "scavenged all the good parts for the Ark but she'll [the dropship looking for Grimlock] would fly." Obviously, there wasn't much material left for building. Additionally, the Ark was a plain cargo hauler. The Autobots could ill-afford even a single offensive, so being able to outrun the Decepticons was wiser than preparing for a fight. Ratchet's assertion that the fight would only end with the Cybertronian slain was one that Optimus believed as well, and so Prime chose to run, not fight. I can't fucking believe that I remember all of that so many years later. As a final note, your speculation was based on concrete and explicit statements made by Autobots throughout their chapters. You're not wrong, and I fully side with you.

FOC was not as good as WFC but it was decent. Some of these logs contradict WFC. He's name was Optimus NOT Orion Pax in WFC. Megatron was NOT present when Optimus became a Prime and so on.

WFC was made before Transformers Prime established the baseline for the lore, and at that point High Moon was building off of basically nothing. In FOC I believe they tried to retcon most of it to catch up with what Prime established.

@@Breadn A LOT of the material found in prime ended up contradicting what happened in war for cybertron and fall of cybertron. The most notable ones I can remember of the top of my head are megatron being new to using dark energon and that the nemesis is not trypticon.

No you are missing pieces of informations, Orion Pax and megatronus were friends, and the council rejected megatronus in favor of Orion who they thought was the first in a long time worthy of the title of a Prime, though Orion refused such title. Megatronus became Megatron, and Orion Pax became Optimus, then the war raged on; Cut to WFC where Optimus has to face his responsabilities and accepts the burden until being granted with the Matrix, becoming a Prime not only in title. Both are one canon, the logs just give us a glimpse at what wasn't shown. Again this was all explained in more details in the books. Also, although I do prefer WFC for it's visual style and multiplayer gameplay, Foc is a huge step up in solo gameplay and story. Both games are fantastic.

I think quite literally the only thing that got significantly altered was just prime's name being orion pax. I think overall foc was much stronger than war, it put more emphasis on specifically designed enviroments that made each character feel unique
