You can only evolve Magneton to Magnezone in Sinnoh, which you can't access in this game. (Neither does Silver.) And Razor Claw, which is the item that is required to evolve Sneasel to Weavile (at night) is only obtainable in Battle Frontier. Silver didn't go there either.

Gold/Silver is the best antagonist for me in the Pokemon Franchise. He's not a typical neighbor rivalry that you always encounter. He's the one who has a best character development in the series. From being a jerk and irrational to being a lover of Pokemon. :-) He realized his mistakes of raising a pokemon and he finally started to love them. One great example is crobat.

Damn I miss this fucking game. I'm gonna buy it for the third time. That's how much I love this game. Honestly next to Platinum it's my favorite Pokèmon game out of all of them. Fighting Lance and Clair with Silver is just so satisfying. Considering the relationship you two have throughout the entire game, it's just epic as hell how you end up teaming up. It's like the game throws a curve ball at you near the end. You think you're going to fight Clair and Silver with Lance. But Silver comes to your side and you team up to beat the dragon tamers together. It's a memorable moment to me for sure in terms of Pokèmon.

Ok so I booted up my copy of soul silver on my 3ds after many months of it being dormant. I have beaten the elite 4 multiple times on my file and I am handily in the post-game but something very weird happened. I was walking up the stairs in the elite 4 building and my rival stopped me for a battle, the battle was the exact same as the final one in the video, the battle is supposed to be the one you fight before you first challenge the elite 4 but it happened again for some reason. I would like to point out what’s wrong with the final battle with Silver after you first beat the E4: a) The music is supposed to be that of the Lance/Red battle. b) Silver never bothered to evolve Sneasel OR Magnezone, even though for one, HG/SS was made in Gen 4, when evolutions were introduced for both Sneasel and Magneton; two, by then, he learned from his mistakes-and what Lance told him-and leveled up his Golbat with high friendship, evolving it into Crobat. Keep in mind that Magneton also evolves into Magnezone when leveled up with high friendship.

No, Magneton can't evolve in Johto. You have to trade it to D/P/Pt, level it up on Mt. Coronet, then trade back.

Its fine but you did the same mistake I did by choosing Togepi. You can only get togekiss in the post game because it's gen 4 or whatever

@Onmyouji Game Zone also another mistake I did as well is choosing two flying types. I mean it doesn't matter that Gyarados is a flying type but it still gives it 4x weakness to electric types
