This show was based off an American format which was titled "The $1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime". There it aired in syndication from January 1986 to September 1987 with Jim Lange as host.

If you watch the programme in full you will see the Bonus round For the first series, the couple is locked into an isolation booth, which is wired so they can only hear host Hamilton. For series 2 to 4, the couple stand in front of the keyboard instead of the isolation booth. also the copyright at the end is 1987 from when it was made and shown on ITV in 1988 so this is series 1

It would have been more challenging if both couples were in isolation booths during the main game and could see only the clues and letters they accumulated toward solving the master puzzles...unfortunately, the game show would then have been more of a ripoff of Goodson-Todman's "Double Dare"...

I remember this from when I was a child. I liked the giant keyboard and the word puzzles, but even as a child they were fairly easy to solve. I couldn't stand David Hamilton's voice. Also the show had a terrible theme tune!
