These 2 types of tasks are some of the best tools to find impostors. If you see someone doing a common task that you don't have, they are an impostor. If you see someone faking a visible task, but see no sign of them doing it, they are an impostor. I hope you liked this video !

1:45 the key slot is not based on when you do the task, but your lobby possition, the order you join the game. Therfore the host will always have key slot 1 (top left), while the person who joined number two will have the slot under and in the end the person who joined number 10 will have the bottom right slot. Your position when voting is also based on when you join the game, which can be used if getting asked what key slot you used when faking as an imposter (if everyone had the task), look at your position on the voting screen and use that (theres a chance you are in the wrong spot if someone who joined before you either left or got killed, be aware of that). Puffballsunited should add where if a impostor gets ejected his tools to kill people will float away too. And if we eject impostors/crewmates their body will float in the cafeteria window or floating somewhere outside the ship, And including the Polus map if we vote a impostor/crewmate off their remains or body will float in lava, And when we vote someone off when the voting is over we should be at the lavapit looking at the person we voted off but if its a tie or skipped we will be at the discussion room, this includes THESKELD and MIRAHQ if we vote someone off in skeld after the voting we should be at the airlock looking at the floating body, And MIRAHQ too if we vote someone off we should be at the room where we threw someone off the HQ i dont know where that room is. Even with my friends in a match, I didn't have the key task as crewmate and yet like 7 of them did. They tried to vote me off and I explained to them how I've seen matches go ("Just because it's a common task doesn't mean every single person will get it, plus I have a visual task to prove I'm crewmate"). Don't know if it was just bugs that happen, but I end up seeing at least 3 people not get one common task where everyone else piles up at.

Are you positive that common tasks which are not shared cannot appear for individual crewmates? On Polus, the 2 shared tasks were Fix Wiring and Swipe Card, and yet some crew members had insert key, but not everyone.

Here's the tip if you want to save in the end: Usually I've always gone to security after I finished my tasks at The Shield. And there's always some people always gone to security also. If that person don't kill me on 5 seconds near the cam, that means I can trust that person. It usually 2 or 3 people (including me) at security. If there's an emergency meeting, I'll tell that (this color) and (this color) are with me at security to proof that I'm innocent and I'll always follow them and only trust them.

You can also identify players as Crewmates by looking at the taskbar when they are doing a task, if it fills up and they leave about 2 seconds after, they are crewmates, if it doesn't and they leave, they probably left or are imposters.

Catching someone by them not doing the common task works like 90% of the time for me. BUT sometimes you have people, usually newer ones, who don't do them and they get offed accidentally. This actually just happened to me with 2 crewmates. One person called me stupid after saying "not everyone has keys [in Polus]" after I said they didnt do them. When YES, we do. Guess they just didnt know. And the other person was new and didnt do keys but they said they did. Maybe it was due to anxiety or maybe they misremembered. Idk. We voted them both off. But they were both crewmates. And I ended up being 3rd impostor :(

I do get tasks sometimes that others don't have. Like this one time when I was playing with six friends in a private match, I got a task at some panel. Somebody got "suspicious" of me because they didn't have a task there. Good thing I convinced them.

In the settings, you can turn off Visual Tasks, so that even if a crewmate is doing them, you can't tell. But you can still tell if somebody is doing MedBay scan because there's a sort of queue system. If you see someone standing on the scanner, go and try to do the scan yourself. If you see a message that says "Waiting for ______" then you know that person is innocent because you have to wait for them to finish your scan.

Just came from a game in Polus - 6 players and 1 Imp and I kinda stepped back to not get in the way of the poeple doing the key task (and catch some possible pile kills) and Blue just literally up and leave the launchpad. So, ofcourse, knowing that was a common task, was confused the first few minutes of the game - battling my senses to go and press the button because what if I'm wrong? And then BAM, Pink got killed, and the first thing I said in chat was: "AREN'T WE GOING TO VOTE BLUE OUT FOR NOT DOING THE KEY TASK?" And they're like, yeah, they noticed that too - and then Blue dug his own grave by saying: "I don't have the key task. Why don't I have the key task?" And I'm like: "Because you're an Impostor, that's why. That was a commom task - meaning EVERYONE has it." Hurrah~ justice for Pink!

The Key task place is not based on who does it first, but rather the join order in the lobby. This is why as a host, you will always have the first slot. If you join the lobby second, you will have the second slot. Remember as in impostor what place you joined in, as some people are keeping an eye out on this.

Pro tip: if you are impostor. Always look at your fake task list. If you find any of common tasks in your list it means all crewmates have it. You also should memorize 1 path for every wire because it'll be useful. In total you need to memorize 3 paths in total. 1 path in Skeld. 1 path in Mira HQ. 1 path in Polus. That way, crewmates will think you actually did common tasks. People often say fake task list is useless but look up at my tip. It's not anymore.

The task bar should load with a delay because the way it is makes it very easy to know who the impostor is, you just need to ask everyone to do their common task one at a time with everyone seeing it. This is a major flaw of this game.

This video got me voted off in among us. I called someone out for doing card swipe because i didn’t have it meaning they were faking it. I knew this from watching this video. The rest of the people were saying “everyone has their own tasks what are you talking about” They called me stupid for calling emergency meeting. After a body got found and i continued telling them to vote off the guy that faked it. They instead voted me off and lost the game. The guy i called out was an imposter

From personal experience in polus, not everyone has the same common tasks. Although most of the server will have the same common task. You will sometimes have a different common task unless the server has all 3 common tasks on polus

Common tasks are shared by all players. Including impostors. Though there might be 2 common tasks in the lobby settings.

Something to note: most visual tasks can be seen when a ghost does it, so an imposter can pretend to do guns if a ghost is doing so
