The Delving Bench is so cool, finally crafting that matters in this game. I have been playing on Official PvP and on Private PvE, what my PvP clan has been doing, typical speed level to 60, non stop run the East side Vaults for Eldarum (since that is where we are based) but specifically target Assylum of the Fiends and Sanctuary of the Snakemen. Those two vaults drop Hardened Steel and Serpentman weapons from the creatures inside. Horde them all, use Nemedian helms to repair the items for free, Delve all the weapons we get for scrolls. Love the new intro!

@@sharktits2043 As much as I like that trick for legendaries, I pity the person who has to sit there for minutes poisoning themselves after each delve. Just hitting "repair" for a cheap ~20 Starmetal seems easier AND more time efficient.

Star metal is so abundant in this map I found about 30 meteors waiting to be blown up around the center spire

Just want to point out, you can repair hardened steel or star metal weapons after delving them. This will reduce the cost slightly since it takes less to repair the item than craft it. Oddly enough after writing this comment. I tested star metal weapons and it didn't leave a broken weapon. It completely destroyed it so I guess you can't repair.

Great video but how about a written list somewhere? It's not exactly convenient to have to find a video and watch through it til you find the weapon type you're looking for then type each weapon recipe into the wiki to look up the stats to see what I'd actually want. And then do that over and over again for any other weapon types you want info on. Again, great vid but an accompanying list would have been awesome, Now I have to try to transcribe this whole video myself LOL

As a side note: you can take the items that have had the durability drained from delving and put them in the dismantling bench to get some stuff back.

talking about hardened steel being cheaper than starmetal.. i beg the differ. whenever you do get star metal, you get a few hundred bars worth (once smelted, obviously).. other than tools and weapons, you really dont use star metal for all that much. hardened steel, on the other hand, takes steel bars to make. steel reinforcenents are used in t3 building. so why waste your building materials when you can use a resourse like starmetal that has limited usage (and you're actively trying to upgrade out of with the delving bench). so yeah, best option to delve is starmetal

I agree. Starmetal, brimstone, and black ice are all very easy to aquire, and I have a chest with over 4000 star metal. I'm still farming iron to this day, and tar, and brimstone, just to make steel.

I would add a small comment In regards to the materials: It feels that on Siptah the star metal might be easier to amass than the hardened steel. Once you craft explosive arrows, it seems like all resources needed for it, including star metal are easily obtainable in large quantities. The hardened steel needs a chain of preparation from iron to steel to hardened steel, which with a low tier crafters takes significant time.

Yea, I agree that the starmetal is cheaper than hardened steel, but the real cost in delving is the eldarium. You get like 60 decaying eldarium from running a vault once and that turns as 30 bars smelted, so you need to do one vault run for each delve.

End game getting that stuff should be rather easy with that one thing, cant remember the name atm, that gets resources from the storm. I think the biggest choke point is eldarium for pretty much everything on the map. Guess I need to figure out a fast way to farm it for you all lol

@@Firespark81 Seeing how the current only source of Decaying Eldarium is the Vaults (and the few vault-related monsters outside of some of them), I'm expecting the "fastest way" to farm it would be finding whichever vault is easier/faster to clear, and spam it as soon as it refreshes. I think the Goblin one (K10) and whatever the name is of the one at K8 is are the easier ones, at least personally. Or the second goblin one at H7

Yup. Agreed. Two of us, with pets, were easily able to get 2000 starmetal ore in one run. Just about anywhere you build has nearby black ice and brimstone. With Hardened Steel it takes forever to make enough to be worthwhile and we're finding it's better used for epic armour and T3 building pieces.

One thing I found hard to find what all the extra stats actually do, so here: Gouging: Renamed bleed that stacks Acidic: Another "bleed" that also affects armor, like the arrows Cleansing: Removes poisons from wearer (like Champion armor) Berserking: Likely the same as the top Str feat, more damage at low HP Corruption Affinity: Does more damage vs corrupted players (1% per 2%) Undead Bane: Bonus vs undead, probably like Specter Oil Stamina Drain: Like it says (only vs players) Envenomed: Poison (like library weapons, but better base damage) Heated/Frostbite: Temperature effects on target Warming/Chilling: Temperature resistance to wearer Variable: Said to be a random effect out of the above, and possibly Attrib boosts. Also the Hamstringing Axe cripples like a greatsword, while the Ripping Axe sunders like a hammer - which looks like it could make the latter the best boss-killing thrall weapon around.

I dunno star metal is pretty abundant comapred to EL and not used enar as much due to the time taken to get decent armourers/weaponsmiths to use the star metal.

you can repair the item u use in de delving bench so you dont need 10+ weapons of a type 1 or 2 will suffice since you can repair it and go again

The skellies in the Asylum of the Fiends have a high chance of dropping hardened steel weapons. All you have to do is repair them, preferably first with a master repair kit (4 hardened steel). The bows that they dropped have all been 100%. I did a few, spent 200 Eldarium and got 5 recipes. I didn't build any. I have legendary weapons now, so these seem to be impractical. Without knowing more, I'd say these would only benefit an early to mid level player.

Are you talking about the exceptional or flawless versions because with a named crafter, you have better versions you can craft.

@@VoiceULove What's a named crafter??? ;) Are you saying you have a named blacksmith in Siptah? :) My T1 blacksmith could craft a flawless axe, IIRC. It did 35 damage. A basic starmetal axe does 49 IIRC.

@@randallporter1404 There is an epic version for each. The one you reference is the lower normal tier. I got the Revealing Truth 1h axe, and its 56 dmg, with +2 to all stats. Don't think there is a better 1h axe for PvE.

@@miguelc99 OK I get it now, thx. So I have the Rushing Edge and I crafted it. It also does 56 dmg one less than Glimmermoon. But the Rushing Edge gives me an Agility bonus (+5) and can be repaired, I assume, using Eldarium. I can only repair Glimmermoon with a Legendary repair kit or The Nemedian. Oh and Eldarium weapons have a cool glow. So I have a new found appreciation for these weapons.

On Single Player, I tend to think star metal is cheaper/easier to acquire than hardened steel. No need to compete with other players for the metal, and I always keep a healthy stockpile of it. If you're somewhere that you can loot a lot of steel then hardened steel might be a better route for you.

Yeah certainly without competition star metal is easy to get, hardened steel can be pretty easy to farm though especially on siptah just run some thrall circuits in stygian bases and you'll be pretty stocked on steel just need to cook it. But the ability to dual farm is the big catch and if you already made it a habit to pit up all the steel you might already have a decent stock pile to pull from, meanwhile star metal does eventually run dry if you are burning through it which you will for these delves to pull 100 times you might eat your entire maps stock and have to wait for more to fall. While steel you can pretty much endlessly farm, with no CD.

You did not get all recipes. I got about 15 recipes or more per weapon class. would be nice to have a vid with all the weapons crafted (with stats shown) which weapon does the poison / acidic / cleanse / gouge. its already a mega grind to get them all. its even more a grind to find out which weapons are good and which are garbage with lvl I - III blacksmits its not the greatest discount on these. Dungeon Chest are often bugged or empty. sometimes even the dungeon bosses dissapear.

This isn't a mod. The armour he is wearing in this video is the medium armour version of the Siptah slaveforged armour. He just dyed it. The armour he wore in the armour video is the light version of the slaveforged again dyed.

From what I can tell in the dev kit it does not matter what you use to delve. Unless there is some code I am missing some place. But the issues is because it is RNG you will never really be able to tell without reading the info in the dev kit and understanding how the system is coded.

I always liked the one-handed axes. Mostly because there is a chance some of them have a bleed effect (which has always been incredibly useful) and because I like using shields. I would have thought of using daggers in the past, but the rolling looks so garbage now. Could be completely naked and you still roll like a slug.

... I don't think you actually tested this at all... You are missing a few weapons. To claim this is 'all delved weapon recipes' is untrue, to lie about testing it makes it worse. Why don't you just stick to 'These are the recipes I found in admin panel' and not lie about the rest. If you had tested it, you'd have found the other recipes for sure, as I did.

This is what I think... the whole system of getting these weapons (and armor in the previous video) is overcomplicated, too impractical, and a waste of time. The randomness of it is too annoying. This dlc is proving to be a failure in design and delivery as more information is coming up. Covid 19 must have affected funcom's ability to come up with something sensible

The eldarium is the issue for me. Generally i only delve legendaries cause im always running vaults to get the eldarium and the vault contains atleast 1 legendary. Bright side the vaults are proving good for leveling thralls
