One thing I always loved about frontier. Is that all of the beast spirit evolutions were homages to the original eight evolutions. It's too bad they didn't name Zoe's Zephyrmon evolution to something similar to garudamons name. The only thing that's similar between the two is that they're both named after wind spirits.

Sadly, a lot of the Beast Spirit forms being named after the original 8 was actually a dub-ism. BurningGreymon was called Vritramon in Japanese. MetalKabuterimon was Bolgmon. Korikakumon was Blizzarmon. Kendogarurumon's name was still similar, at least, as Garummon. But hilariously, there was one Beast Spirit form whose name was made LESS of a connection to a previous digimon in the dub. "JagerLoweemon" in the dub... was originally "KaiserLeomon". That's right, Frontier _did_ manage to kill a friendly Leomon. They didn't skip a generation. (Well, unless you count the happy reunion at the end, but it still fits the bill. The Original Leomon was eventually able to come back too, after all.)

Like, in the animated series the digimon didn’t know about their ultimate or mega levels until someone explained it to them and even then in the 01 series all the digimon but agumon and gabumon obviously said or implied their ultimates were their fully evolved forms. Like, the lack of commenting on the part of TK and Kari implies that they’ve reached mega level before but the question I have is just when... and how... and how they even knew their mega forms unlocked the golden armor digieggs. But apparently those questions are answered in the uncut Japanese dub but I’ve never seen it so I can’t confirm.

100 billion percent. I grew up with Adventure 01, 02 and Tamers (never got around to Frontier as I grew out of it) and Tamers was one of the first and only shows I grew emotionally attached with. The same chills that an FF7 player would have with the remake for the PS4, so too would I feel the same if Tamers got a retrain and after the accumulative success of the 2020 digimon adventure I’d say that’s looking VERY promising. They need to add the dark stuff into it again because it gripped me like no show ever did as a kid. It treated the target audience still like kids but not literal toddlers and I loved it for that. It wasn’t afraid to speak about neglectfulness (for Rita) hardships brought about through discipline (for Henry) and tackling the intense worries and doubts Takato had (especially his continually denying love for Jeri as all kids would usually feel embarrassed about their crushes, it really nailed it perfectly).

Tamers gave a majority of the cast megas, and four of the six were biomerge megas. Beelzamon and kozu's? Little fairy esque mega were the other two. The others that weren't megas were two champion level and an ultimate. Poor jerri though, they took what she represented - her color scheme matches both crests of Light and Hope from previous seasons - and was inflicted such suffering that pushed her very deep into darkness and despair. D-reaper mentally tortured jerri for days and eventually started to hurt her physically her when she attempted to resist against the negative emotions it was feeding off of. When I was younger I thought she was annoying and weak, but I realize as an adult shes one of the strongest characters. Its hard to actually rise above the sadness at times; her struggle is very human and believable, and setbacks and relapses can happen despite making progress to crawl out of it.

Technically, you missed out the Burst Mode and Ruin Mode Digivolutions. Despite their names, these Digimon are actually still considered to be Mega Level Digimon. You also missed Susanoomon who was, again, a Mega Level Digimon, so this video does not, in fact, detail all of the Mega Evolutions.

I feel like every season had this one Evo they did best: 1 had rookie to mega, 2 had ultimate to mega (wasn't too different from 1 though, and DNA was also pretty cool, so hard to choose), 3 had rookie to champion, 4 did evolution very differently so I can't really compare (I did still like it though), and 5 had champion to ultimate (I decided to not count burst mode, still pretty awesome though)

It's a bit complicated, for example Takatos Gallantmon it's very weak compared to the Gallantmon (Royal Knight) in Data Squad, because a Digimon that growth and fight alone have more experience than a digimon from the series. Biomerge (Matrix Evolution) its it's just the tamer body are data and the Digimon partner use the tamer data like experience to do an evolution. The strongest evolutions of the series are from Data Squad because they defeat some Royal Knights (one of the strongest groups of digimons)

Regular Slick No cause Warp Digivolve takes you to any form higher than Champion. Augumon and Gabumon go from Rookie to Mega while Angemon and Leomon go from Champion to Mega. Datasquad adding double Warp Digivolving was unnecessary as heck.
