@1 1 That is not accurate. The big pile up occured at the start of the race just after la source. There was another small crash at the same place after the second start involving Hakkinen and Herbert. Also lap 24 Schumacher leading the race ran into Coulthard, who was one lap behind, as he tried to pass him in the straight line between speaker and Pouhon double gauche. Schumacher lost the whole front right wheel but miraculously manage to keep control of his car for the rest of the lap. Hill, who took the lead at the second start, and was passed by Schumacher in bus stop lap 7, won the race. Only 8 pilots finished the race that day. The bus stop chicane was modified twice, in 2004, and in 2007 with a new pitlane entrance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGOVn6uMjrGUeLM A memorable race to be sure !

if you pay attention, many tracks after 94 had chicane changes on high speed curves, that's FIA learning from her mistakes in the tragics accidents on that year.
@waynepurcell6058 Жыл бұрын
Still though, there is a human driver in the car, why no adaptation to the track? If you have a track that you KNOW you can't go full bore on in certain segments, then why are you going full bore in those segments? Yes, challenge yourself and try to better your times through sections like that, but don't try to play "invulnerable god". I would like to see a return to smaller cars and tracks that are all around aesthetically pleasing with drivers smart enough to drive just to the limits of them.
@whateverman4923 Жыл бұрын
@@waynepurcell6058 bro, its literally racing, everyone will push beyond the track's limits, and senna was even more eager to be the best cuz he simply was this way, even when winning races, if he felt like he performed bad, he wasn't able to be satisfied with himself, and ''invulnerable god'' lol, it wasn't like every other racer did that segment the exact same way and speed, 3 accidents and 2 deaths in 1 weekend isnt fine, that race should've never happened to begin with, F1 was completly different and dangerous on that era and FIA didn't have the care for safety they have nowadays.
