@@fabiomarques7672 uh....you do know he has some unsavory words for Tecmo and Team Ninja right? And a whole sexual harassment lawsuit which was dropped? Plus he has some choice words for the change in art direction of DoA. Let's not forget beat back in the day, Tecmo pulled a fast one on him because they were impatient on bringing DoA2 out cause they thought he was taking too long so they had an exec ask him if he could borrow a copy of the beta over the weekend so he could review it and Itagaki said yes meanwhile the true intention was that exec took said disc to the printing press and Tecmo released the game unfinished which is what we got as DoA2 on Dreamcast. Of course this pissed him off so to make amends, Tecmo had him release a mor finished version which is what Japan got DoA2 Limited Edition on Dreamcast later on, which then got ported as DoA 2 Hardcore for PlayStation launch. I don't think he'd want to go back there lol

​@@ltManifestocan only do so much with certain circumstances. One man cannot make a great game typically it's a team effort. I mean just look at Yuke's. They made good wrestling games under THQ and so so ones under 2K. Now they left and are with THQ Nordic which is not the same as og THQ and their AEW Fight Forever is a messy game. Or compare Dreamfactory's PS1 games (Tobal, Ergheiz) to their Microsoft game Kakuto Chojin. Quality dropped. Or Inafune Mighty No 9 compared to MegaMan games Yu Suzuki's Shenmue 3 was a decent attempt but it would have been much better if he was still at Sega and they greenlit it. It's the backing and support and having a proper team and budget

@@cartoonvideos5 I think there has to be some kinda revolving door over at Yuke's for employees because not all the time they were bad but definitely inconsistent. Probably the same thing going on like it was over at the Japanese development studio TOSE who made a lot of kusoge ("shit") games in the 90's and 00's based off licensed properties, but some of their stuff was still good. TOSE would hire people right out of school with little to no experience and Bandai who'd hire TOSE wouldn't care as long as the product sold. And lastly as like I said: I think a lot of it has to do with budget and production planning. If you're getting paid less, a lot of times you're not motivated to put out your best efforts.

The thing i never understood about the first Dead or Alive game is Tecmo put out an update to it in arcades called Dead or Alive++. This version added new characters and was the one that was ported to the PlayStation. The original one was ported to the Sega Saturn. And the original one only had three females (Kasumi, Lei-Fang & Tifa). But the weird thing is the original game has impressive 3D backgrounds for its time that could run at 60fps. The other 3D fighting games like Tekken 1 and 2 did not they could only run at 60fps with 2D backgrounds. Only Virtua Fighter 2, Last Bronx, Dead or Alive and Fighting Vipers (arcade version) And this was because Dead or Alive used the Virtua Fighter engine. It was odd that SEGA allowed that to happen to a competitor of theirs but it os what it is. But the weird part is Dead or Alive++ removed all those 3D backgrounds and replaced them with the usual 3D textured scrolling floow with a static 2D jpeg background. Not sure why the downgrade but yeah. Perhaps it was because PlayStation had trouble running 3D fighting games at 60fps with 3D backgrounds. If you at Soul Edge/Blade, it has 3D backgrounds but ran at 30fps. Saturn had issuses rendering clean 3D textures but it had better RAM so it coukd actually run 3D Fighting games at 60fps better than PlayStation and for the 2D fighting games, depending on if they came with a 1or 4mb RAM cartridge, could run the 2D fighters better than PlayStation which would cut frames and have longer load times. But sometimes afain, depending on the developers,a Saturn port would be a downgrade. Like the Saturn version of Fighting Vipers used 2D backgrounds. Rhe arcade port of EA's 2D fighting game Rabbit, had messy pixelated graphics.

Dead or Alive 1 - I rented it and laughed at Bouncing Boobs ON or OFF. I bought the game shortly after. Dead or Alive 2 - Played it at an Arcade. Jenn Lee was fun. Bought it for Dreamcast and Xbox (DOA Ultimate) Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach - 😏 I know the secret to the green visor. Dead or Alive 3 - Played it at a Sam Goodie's. When we broke the glass floor and fell we all screamed. Dead or Alive 4 - It was fun. I was already sucked in and bought every game since. 🤣

Huge fan of Team Ninja, they're one of the great ones and been around for a while now. This is how i rank their 10 best 👇. 10. Dead or Alive 3 (only one i liked outta this stale series, doa4 & 5 were also good but i remember having a better time wit this one). 9. Hyrule Warriors (obvious not as good as the 2nd one but i can't include that one on here since it wasn't made by them). 8. Strangers Paradise (pales in comparison to the best in the series but still one of the better spin off FF games). 7. Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge (vanilla suxked but this enhanced version's much better, just not as good as the first 2 ofcourse). 6. Rise of Ronin (As much as i love team ninja i was mad disappointed wit this game, you would think wit they're track record they'd get their shxt done right but it was just merely a good game. not much of a soulslike but more of a ghost of tsushima son that will never match it's farther's greatness. Not a bad game but it could've been so much more. Also team ninja should stay away from open world games cuz they're clearly not good at it). 5. Nioh (the first great soulslike not made by Fromsoftware). 4. Wo Long: CLASSIC (awesome game definietily team ninja's best gameplay in their soulslike game, hopefully it gets a sequel someday). 3. Ninja Gaiden 2/Sigma 2: CLASSIC (amazing sequel wit the greatest hack n slash gameplay of them all, this game's carnage is satisfying). 2. Nioh 2: CLASSIC (team ninja's best soulslike aswell as their most challanging, team ninja really needs to make a third one). 1. Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma 1: CLASSIC (has greatest written all over it, greatest hack n slash game of all time, greatest ninja/samurai game of all time, greatest action game of all time, GREATEST TEAM NINJA GAME OF ALL TIME. This game is brutal, violent, challanging and long, ninja games simply don't get better than this, 10 outta 10). ✌ fools.

Nioh sold 7 million. Literally almost more than every other game of their og IP combined. I think that's why 😅 and ninja gaiden 3 sucked. DOA6 was good but they got super greedy with monetization which destroyed the game before it could be given a chance

Damn, why do people have such bad taste in games. Ninja Gaiden 1-3 is superior to Nioh 1-2 by a lot. But the people buy Nioh cause its a Soulslike. And what didnt help the Ninja Gaiden series long term either was the part time exclusivity on Xbox. Its so sad. NG3RE has one of the best combat systems of all time (competitors are imho Horizon Zero Dawn and Batman Arkham Asylum/City, but they function differently).

If I would get another NG I wouldn't complain. But I'm getting just those boring Soulslikes. Maybe there is a middleground with Rise of the Rōnin :) But tbh it doesn't seem that promising to me.

Wow man, no need to vent your frustration on a KZbin comments towards an entire other gaming community, people that are fans of Nioh all agree that Nioh is more like a Ninja Gaiden spiritual successor than a souls like, if you see someone playing like dark souls, then it is wrong. There is also the fact that Ninja Gaiden ran into the ground with it trying to be different for the sake of different in NG3, which the NG community agreed that it is "not as good" as black and 2, they must have ran out of ideas and now treading new grounds to gain more experience, they're probably cooking an unannounced NG game, trust them, they'd bring back NG like how fromsoft bring back Armoured Core. They also have no intentions of making Nioh 3 in the near future, so they're definitely trying new things, why must we, team Ninja fans, must shit on each other?

@@qgvinh8614 Ok ok, we - as Team Ninja Fans - should unite as one. That's for sure. I myself liked NG3 even the most of the 3 (let's just forget the final boss fight first part, that was the most trash in NG history). I didn't play it back in the days but the "recent" collection on PC, so I missed every debate bout the games on the different platforms or their release states and just played the games and loved Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3. I didn't like the first game tbh, but that was on me cause the game never tells you what you do with the orbs and I just collected the yellow orbs to get them for the "money" 😌 and finally understood the whole system in NG2. And after finally getting the grip, especially with NG3, it's over😭😭. And no, the Nioh Games aren't an adequate replacement for me. Because I'm playing a Ninja and in Nioh, SOP, WLFD and ROTR I'm playing a more samurai type. (SOP has some fluid jobs either, but it still feels so "horizontally") And that's what I don't like. The fluidity in the enemy hordes with jumping onto the head doing my awesome downfall and so on- in an over the top setting, that is what I like so much. And because of that I never liked playing as Rachel cause she is soo slow. I played Wanted:Dead from some creators of Team Ninja recently. And while this game clearly has its flaws, that's how I want those kinds of games. That is a somewhat adequate predecessor to me.

Dissidia NT was such a fucking dumpster fire of stupid designs and Esports obsessed bullshit. Shallow and disappointing in the extreme. It's no wonder it failed so miserably and square abandoned it after only a couple of years.
