This game has been fucking me up and giving me a hard time, I'm on day 7 and man. It's a wild ride. I didn't really look at any guides and I've refused to alter the difficulty of the game, and I've been stuck in death loops and pain left and right. A part of me wants to give up, but another part of me is so enthralled with the miserable experience of the game and I find this integration of struggle so fantastic that I feel the need to push on. I was shocked when you had so much money btw, I've never had the money to be above 3,000$.

If you're not pushed down and out, keep at it. There's no shame or harm in restarting with more knowledge. Personally making efficient use of the early game I quite enjoy, knowing how much it'll help later on. This particular run I was trying out some tactics I didn't usually use for money making hence the cash levels. It's mostly about robbing infected houses a lot ;)

My first ever day I made more than 3k and bought the revolver

@@yungspooky9463 oh yeah my first play through (I still haven’t finished a few years later) I made enough to buy the revolver as well. Sadly it doesn’t help because I don’t have enough time to shoot the 3 worms outside my friends house, that’s the night I’m stuck on now

It's amazing how versatile the mechanics of this game are. I barely touched shops, just used them to dump the cash I pulled from wherever in exchange for kindereggs (nuts, hooks, etc). Occasionally for food, but only when really desperate. What happened to the Immotel analysis? I remember seeing the thumbnail ages ago but can't find it anymore.

Its also useful to remember that certain items such as the military cape needed for inv upgrades only appear after certain days. So dont be like me looking in shops for things that arent spawned yet.

Excellent point. I spent the last few days of a run religiously checking tailors looking for a military cape. And murdering as many soldiers as I could find alone. Still never got one.

@@DoctorSkullka still not as rare as the leopard bandanna in fallout 4 only got one once and I killed thousands of gunners and raiders at this point
