I was a little apprehensive about playing a Guilty Gear game until I saw Strive's reveal trailer, so to get ready for that, I got Rev 2. Thank God I did because that game is awesome!

I wish the song from missing link stuck around as a series theme song. That little riff that starts when milia and zato's character portraits come on is great and would make a good motif if it were used in all the games.

Just came here to say that I love how you, nearly 5 years later, are still coming back and liking and/or replying to fresh comment, MetaKnux. Downloaded your video as a sound file, took out some intros that didn't get me so pumped up and removed the non-music parts of post-Vastedge games - and now I have a kick ass sound file to listen to in the gym since this Summer, and I'm never getting tired of it.

Nope, GG Judgement, another version of ggxx if i'm not wrong (i might be: i'm old and i play the serie since ps1's 1st chapter... 😅)

@@alessandrobaggi6129 No you got it (kind of). The game was a PSP exclusive port of GGX2, though it also have a beat em up mode called Judgment similar to that one mode from GG Isuka

Thanks for the post. I’ve been playing Guilty Gear since 2001. Around 2005 all my FGC friends refused to play me, saying stuff like “I can’t win” and “eff you!! I’m not gonna be your whipping dog” so I threw games and that would make them mad or soul broken when they realized I was letting them win.

But isnt there different versions of the XX opening? Like I remember the one I played didn't have the robo-ky or aba and it gave name tags to the then new characters of slayer, ino, zappa, and bridget.

Ritsu-chan 33 yes but I didn’t want to repeat the same intro but with just slight differences. I wish I could of showed all the intros at once but I didn’t know how to do that so I just used the one with all the characters.

Dont know why this video has this little views. I have a question, i wanna buy a guilty gear game but i have never played any 2D fighting game before, is it hard to learn how to play to have fun ? Input-wise and everything ?

Hey dude. Thanks for the feed back! When it comes to getting into Guilty Gear, it might be intimidating at first, with mechanics like the roman canceling systems and the high octane gameplay but too be honest, I think it is pretty easy to learn but hard to master. you have 5 buttons, the Punch, Kick, Slash, Heavy Slash, and Dust buttons. the first four buttons are self explanatory but when it comes to the Dust, that is basically your launcher but if you do down Dust (2 Dust if you know Fighting game language) you do a sweep to catch your opponent off guard and connect it with another move if you can. I highly recommend other channels that can explain this stuff more better then I can like novriltataki with his Guilty Gear Crash Course and Guilty Gear Bits series. I can supply a link if you want. Also, when it comes to series starters, I recommend playing both Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R and the Guilty Gear Xrd series. I would also recommend Guilty Gear 2 just for story reason but that isn't really a fighting game so you can skip it and see a walkthrough of it if you want. (or just research the story if you want.) On a side note, I also recommend Blazblue, which is made by the same company and relatively play similarly(Though, You might want to adjust your controls if you want it to be just like Guilty Gear. But I will get to that if you get to that point. just contact me if you need help with that. It's actually simple.) I hope this helps out.

@@Mehdibakkali most people won't agree with me, but honestly I'd recommend considering playing on a fight stick if you're struggling with inputs. it's taboo to say, but fighting games were designed for stick and they allow you to be much cleaner with your inputs. I picked up a snack box micro and I'm never going back to game pad.

@@MetaKnuxXbeats idk I didnt really gave it to much of a chance and was to much a pussy since tekken 7 got me into fighting games and gg revelator was my second fighting game on steam but it was stupid of me to refund wasn't it ? During its sale rev 2 6.29 bucks and base game is 9.89 since I'm pretty limited to what I spend on steam atm buying gg rev with the bundle upgrade is what I want and going to use ky as my main and I realized to myself I actually like arc sys fighting games since I'm training in bbcf atm lol

Vastedge’s Sol design I think is pretty much the Xrd Story/Strive Sol. There are slight differences but I think the jacket is the same. He really did gained a lot of pounds in between. Yea, I know it is not an in universe change but an art style but still, just want to make that joke.

This is pretty much every Guilty Gear Openings that I can find from Missing Link through Xrd Rev 2 though technically Guilty Gear 2 Overture didn’t have an opening so I used the steam version’s trailer in place for that since it pretty much looks like a legit opening.

@@johanstenfelt1206 well, ok, with this, I kind of used a similar method to the Guilty Gear 2 Overture opening Ky where for the console versions of Xrd Sign and Revelator, I used there trailers that had the console version’s theme music. For the the other trailer used for Revelator, well, that ended up being the actual console version’s opening which is disappointing but I might as well add it as well.
