Some people do genuinely end up in a bad spot though, using dodgy supplements and things like that. You get supplement companies that mix their protein shakes in the same bucket as the roids problem is, it’s difficult to prove intent to cheat so it’s a tricky one but I do agree with you

The right protocol with UKAD was taken. They bring in the panel. Panel make a ruling. UKAD and the fighter have to respect that ruling... We know what the ruling was. UKAD have to present a new case to prove Benn was guilty and have it heard again. Until then, Benn is free to fight. Spencer Oliver knows as much about the legalities of sport as he knows about the location of Usyk’s solar plexus. UKAD- UK ANTI DRUG have made a decision and they have cleared him to box. Their decision was based on the findings of VADA who carried out the initial tests and started this ball rolling. Oliver’s assumptions are pure stupidity but, Robert Smith’s are disingenuous. The right of appeal applies to “all relevant parties…” but would normally be a person found guilty appealing. Same applies to CPS cases, if they investigate and find there is no case to prosecute or answer, the “suspect” is cleared. The Police do not then go on to reveal details of that investigation to the public…! Boxers are entitled to the same confidentiality as everyone else. Something that Robert Smith clearly fails to comprehend.

All that has happened - as confirmed in public by Robert Smith - is that Benn's legal team successfully argued that it was not within UKAD's jurisdiction to make a ruling on a drugs test (or even two drugs tests!) implemented by VADA. In other words UKAD had no right to suspend Benn - or any other boxer - for failing VADA drugs tests. This was the ruling made by the National Anti-Doping Panel, and it is this ruling that UKAD and the BBBC are appealing. If you are intelligent enough to use the word "legalities" you should alr5eady know this, which means it's your integrity that's in doubt as your statement is pure dishonesty.

Suspension lifted is the same thing as being cleared. The only reason he can't fight in UK is because he currently has no license and BBBofC won't issue him one until their appeal against Benn having his suspension lifted. But people need to be clear the ball is currently in the BBBodC court to pursue that appeal.

Benn’s team have argued amid the confusion the ruling was not jurisdictional… NADP hearing did not include an examination of the science behind how clomifene was twice found in the fighter’s system in 2022. Hence the reason why UKAD and British Boxing Board of Control have triggered their right to contest the decision… NADP have said they don’t recognise the test results presented by VARDA as being within Jurisdiction…. Hence you get a lady pregnant in another country and the test result in that country prove that you’re the father but your a British Citizen and an independent Body states that you don’t have to recognise those results in the UK due to ‘Jurisdiction’ does not mean that your test result are not correct.. hence Conor Benn and Eddie Hearn dilemma….

Benn hasn't failed any BBBoC approved test. Like it not he has no case to answer here, that's why he will win his appeal. That's why he will get his license back, or maybe he will do what Fury did and fight with a foreign license, doesn't matter how you cut it he will be able to fight in the UK once the appeal has been concluded.
