Simple when you know how! For the HTC 10, the power button, down volume button and a few seconds and major relief! Scrolled down to reboot and all systems go! Many thanks!

I dropped my evo 4glte last night and it was mostly charged, after picking it up it wouldn't just come back on when touching the power button. I held the power button for a few seconds and it attempted to come on and showed battery almost dead/yellow bar then immediately turned off with the dead battery beep sound. Since last night I've tried having it on the charger but it's ice cold and the charge led isn't on. Even trying the power button hold methods isn't working at all. Are the batteries fragile or is it more likely some kind of microscopic circuit failure that can't be repaired? I'm bringing it to a sprint store this afternoon (cringe) to see if they can get it back up or at least recover my contact and history data (yeah right) but the sd card has mainly pictures and music. I'm not sure they have the tech to recover data from the actual phone if it's inop.

Nope, not even...and it's the EVO 4GLTE which was the second version. Now I have the htc10, pretty nice and the camera works very well

You're a life saver ! I needed to do the all three buttons, but it didn't exactly do anything at first, all it would do was vibrate once. I gave up for an hour and heard it vibrate on its own. I was then able to do all of the boot methods and eventually it turned on .

Yes!! My HTC EVO m9 was completely dead and wouldn't charge, I tried numerous chargers. I tried all of the steps, don't know which one worked. When I plugged in my charger afterwards, it began to charge. Thank you!!

i have an htc610. the screen cracked in the centre like right across the middle. the bottom half isnt working. i was able to connect a mouse to the phone using a usb converter thingy to be able to touch the bottom half of the screen and get photos etc to back up and transfer to a new phone. its been a few weeks and i've kept the 610 to one side, switched off and uncharged. im trying to switch it on now but it doesnt work. like if it charges enough i'll get the logo screen but it wont go past that to my home screen/lock screen. its quite frustrating, any advise?

Very well explained and unbiased review on phones in the beginning of the video. You just earned a subscriber Tech Review Mania. This solution works on my HTC 630 phone that won't boot up. 3rd solution is a charm just like you mentioned. Power plus volume down buttons simultaneously. I only use them for recovery mode before, didn't know it can also be used on phones that wont boot up or on boot loop. You saved one of my phone right now, also learned a lot on this video, I know I could also apply this solutions on my future phones. Thanks a lot!

I have a 626S, I was texting, and I looked away and I guess I hit something and it said on screen "To restart your device, hold power + volume up for 20 seconds" and it locked there until I PRESSED power + volume up. then when it locked it wouldn't unlock, almost as is the power button is shot. Hey the first step (hold the power button 30 seconds) an my phone turns on but all that shows is that the battery percentage as it charging but then after like 5 seconds after it shows meh that it turns off again an I have to retry the step an if done it at least 10 times already do you know any thing to keep it on

Well my phone only vibrated really loud and after some seconds it made a 0.5 second long sound and it goes back again to the same position, still not working. Phone is charging but it's not just working, when I press the turn on button it makes after few seconds a light vibration sound and that's all. Pls help

Yes and no. I swapped out the charging bit of the phone with one i bought on Amazon for around 10 bucks . Boom it charger and powered up.... however to replace the charger part you have to disassemble half the phone so when I reassembled the phone I seem to have not properly connected the lcd display. So black screen but atleast it charged right? I mean if you have the time and do it properly its reverently inexpensive.

couldn't get passed the boot screen, it would just turn back off. So randomly it started working after i got frustrated and started to figgit. I grabbed the proper charger, turned it back on and this time it froze on the boot screen, then I began to mash buttons...and boom magic...pos technology I swear. Thank you for the help, I feel like a proper charger is a big part, I was doing this while using a old zuni charger and was sol.

If anyone is still around I'm having a more frustrating problem. HTC desire 526 boots up and comes to an encrypted password screen. I know the password, however I cannot type it in as a constant pop up alerts me to the "unfortunately system ui has stopped". Everytime I press ok to dismiss it, it comes right back up. I have attempted to boot into recovery mode but I keep getting a red triangle.
