Hey thanks for any advice. I have a Schok phone yeah it's government free phone it won't charge and when I did get it to turn on it said not recognizing battery. Assurance wireless wants $20 for replacement but I don't have it and if I did I'm reluctant to give credit card information to someone in another country. The phone would get warm when charging right out of the box. I didn't drop it or get it wet. I've tried boost mobile and cricket wireless they too gave me refurbished phones that didn't work for more than a month or so. Any advice on trying to fix this phone? Thanks again. @@droigy thank you for answering me as your the only real person that's ever done so. It's a no name cheap phone that these wireless companies are giving for the ACP program through government funding. Boost mobile cricket wireless and now assurance wireless has given to me. The first 2 phones were refurbished and one didn't work right fresh out of the box. Cricket wireless store employee told me I'd be eligible for an upgrade in 6 months. I then went to the store and same employee brought me the exact make model and color phone and told me it was $110 plus tax. I replied in every country and dictionary upgrade means better. But to insult my intelligence and try to sell me same phone was lower than low. They also were stealing money each month from my social security because the internet they provided lasted 2 days at best so I authorized a payment of $20 dollars a month for better service. When I live on fixed income it became apparent that $55 dollars was being taken out for the whole months bill. I did not sign a contract nor was I ever informed of this either by phone which they had my number or text, or email or even smoke signals. When I confronted them they said I wasn't eligible anymore. But I stopped the auto pay and switched to assurance wireless under the same ACP program. That's when cricket texted me saying they couldn't get the money from auto pay and I owed them $60 plus reconnection fees. And promptly shut off my phone. Idk if there's any organization that monitors or oversees these unlawful practices but there needs to be someone that blows the whistle very loudly. Thanks and God bless

Hi there, Very informative video I had to log in to comment and I hope you can please help. I have a very old samsung galaxy s2 since 2012. Never had any issues until now. I turned it off before charging waited until fully charged and went to turn it on but it wont turn back on. Strange thing is i have tried all the methods and when i plug it in to charge now the battery icon doesnt show up at all but i have left it on charge for an hour and can feel the battery is hot. I have tried the reset methods. Connected it to my computer with usb and it doesnt recognise device meaning it is turned off. Can you please advise your thoughts? Just purchased a UMIDIGI G1 Max about a month ago. It is not turning on at all. I have tried every forced restart and no boot menu ever comes up. Please charge the phone for at least two hours and try to restart it. If the screen is still black after restarting successfully, please use a USB cable to connect the phone to the computer to check whether the computer recognizes your phone. Check whether the phone has feedback when you turn it on. Your screen is broken. If the restart fails, the battery may be faulty and you need to go to the service center to replace the battery. It could also be that there is something wrong with your phone and you need to take it to a repair center.

Hi, I appreciate the video. Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (not pro) Around 4-5 years old. Dropped in water for 1-2 seconds, immediately put in rice for 12-13 hours and around 2 hours next to a fan with back cover open. (In the middle of drying, there was a problem with restarting by itself, eventually I fixed it, but I checked the wifi, sim, sd card, and internal storage, everything seem works other than small moisture on bottom left screen) btw, I have no silica gel, so I didn't try that method. After 16 hours, I tried to turn it on, everything works for a while/1-2 hours OTHER THAN unresponsive touch screen, but THEN suddenly it turns off. the problem with my phone is that 1. Can't charge 2. Tried force restarts, it vibrates, no animation or content other than black screen (explained in no 3) but then it turns off after 2-3 seconds 3. When booting, there's no boot animation, but usually there are animation. Now it just black screen (not completely dark as if screen is not on, it's on, but no content. Basically it looks different when it's completely turned off, when booting it only shows bright black screen) 4. Tried to boot into safe mode/recovery mode (Volume up/down + power). Same problem, brght black screen. But instead of turning off immediately, it just showing black screen but no other content, just bright black screen non stop until I hold power button to force restart. Extra question: If I want to at least back up internal data, are there any cheap way? (i can backup sd card safely, and sim card should work fine, hopefully, right?)

Everything you did was spot on. Have you tried charging with another charger? If your phone vibrates when you press and hold the power button, there may be an issue with your phone's screen or the hardware connected to your phone's screen. You may need to take your phone to a repair center so a technician can help you check and fix the problem. Or you can use a USB cable to connect your phone to the computer to see if the computer can recognize your phone. If you can, there may be something wrong with your phone's screen. If it doesn't work I'm guessing there may be a problem with the battery or internal hardware. If you want to back up your mobile phone data, it is recommended that you search on Google for a method that suits you.

I know what I did sounds reckless, but I tried to gently hit the screen, suddenly the boot animation shows up. And I entered the main screen/launcher. But that didn't last long. Maybe because the battery was low (4%) but after at least 30 seconds, it turns off again. And the same problem occur, no animation, content or anyting. I gently press the sides, it shows boot animation for a while, but again, it turns off. Then no animation, etc, and turns off again. So, it does seems like the problem is related with connector/cable. Taking it to a technician or repair center seems to be the only way. (I'm not experienced in disassembling phone) Anyway, thanks, subbed and liked btw EDIT: To answer your suggestion: I did try connecting to computer when the no animation, display etc problems happening, and no, nothing happens.

@@droigy I just want to know if the motherboard can be replaced and turn on the phone after the black screen of doom. I saw videos where it could be done.. My phone turned off on Monday and its been 4 days since Ive tried to get it fixed at a repair shop. I tried all the tricks you and other videos have done but still no luck so im thinking of either calling LG directly and shipping it to them to possibly fix or hope and pray the repair guy can diagnose and fix the problem himself. But when I went on wednesday to the repair store he tried to charge the phone with the new battery I bought. Still showing no charge or did not charge at all with his chargers. So he took the phone apart and looked at the motherboard so Im thinking that could be the reason or something else was damaged on the phone because I did notice the phone act wierd a few times where I could not pull up the bottom bar at times and it would crash. some of my apps would run slow or crash as well so Im thinking it might be the new update to my phone. I updated it to Android 12. I have a LG K 51 phone. So maybe the update corrupted something or the phone was on its last legs as it is. Ive had it since i think 2019 or 2020.. And I did not ask my phone carrier if im due for an upgrade. I cant pay a lot for repairs and a new phone at this time. so im looking for any videos that can possibly save my phone.. thanks

@@kod6693 Have you tried a factory reset? Not sure if it is a motherboard problem, further inspection is needed to confirm which hardware is the problem. However, you can try a factory reset first

hi i have Nokia 6.2 it comes on but the i cant access any apps it tries to open the app but i'm just met with a blank screen it tries a few times then phone turns of and reboots but then is just stuck on its company logo then it turns of and reboots again and again and again . i've tried the restart and volume button hack, that's successful and brings me to the user screen but then as i said in the beginning i'm not able to open any apps. i am not able to ring out but i can ring in from another phone and talk.. when left alone it just keeps on rebooting. very frustrating. any ideas on whats happening with my phone?

I went to Ethiopia for a few weeks. I was using my charger there. I did have problems with it turning back on before I left if I let the charge go all the way off. I mention Ethiopia bc sometimes there is a compatibility problem overseas. I don't want to do factory reset because I want my photos, otherwise the phone is useless to me. I took my phone to a repairman, and there was 40% charge left in the phone when I took it to him, so it was working fine, but when I returned, I took my phone and went home without checking it.And when I went to use my phone, it would not turn on or take a charge. Hello, my battery died and its on the black screen but i see some light goes to the screen. Not the First Time It happened last time i had to go to a tecnician that took alot of Money Just to open the phone take out the battery, close It. Charge It and restart It. Unfourtunatly these new Android phones are really complicated to open because they are seeled shut with some kind of glue that has to be heated with a machine i don't have.i really hate the person that decided to make It impossibile to remove batteries from phones It was so much Better when you could Just slip out the battery in a few seconds. I tried charging It for about 10 minutes, no sign of charging so i knew what was up, i tried Turning It on, i tried restarting It with volume down + Power button as you said in the video. I tried letting the battery drain out and After 4 and a half hours It still didn't turn off the dim light on the black screen. It was at 0% battery 🔋 totally died then i only had charged ten minutes and the dim light went on almost 5 hours. I Need the phone i tried holding down the Power button for 5, 10 even up to 15 minutes but nothing. Then i tried charging It again 15 minutes tried restarting It volume down and Power nothing. I tried charging It 45 minutes pressing power or volume down + Power. I held down the Power button up to 20 minutes. Nothing i don't know what tò do i really Need It tomorrow morning. I'm thinking now that i go to bed to not leave It on the charger and try to get the battery tò drain then put It on charge It should be just like taking out the battery then charging it and restarting It.. last time the same thing happened i left It tò charge all night and in the morning nothing changed. So i went tò the tecnician and paid alot i can't waste Money like that. I'm getting so fustrated i'm gonna eventually try ripping out the battery myself and Will probably break something.

I just got a Nokia G100, put my Google account info in then wanted to give it to my wife because she broke her phone and I still had my old phone that still worked. Hey Droigy, I have a problem. I picked up my old phone which I hadnt touched for like 4 years straight and tried to charge it to see if it opens.
