Your uncle’s voice was a huge part of my childhood because I would watch prince of Egypt like 3 times a day on my vhs player (I still actually have the vhs copy of prince of Egypt)

His strong singing voice really brought the animated Moses to life... This song was indeed too short. They teased us with this one.

Everyone i know thinks the singing in Prince of Egypt was Josh Groban, and until now i did too, Amick sounds identical to him. And thats one heck of a compliment, Groban is an amazing singer. I didnt learn Amick existed till just now.

Powerful song, and one of my favorite childhood movies. This song shows the power, and pride that Moses is trying so desperately trying to refuse and hide that he is Hebrew. I also love the plagues song he did.

THANK YOU!! This man has God-given talent...that is why he played Moses...though I wish Ralph Fiennes sang with him...

This is such an amazing song, and Amick Byram more than lives up to his reputation! Everyone can relate to the emotion of doubting the beliefs they've been taught and the way they've been raised, and this song captures that feeling perfectly!!

Yes and what I think is important with this song is also the emotions in the voice and enphasis on the right words. As though he is torn, and something is conflicting or doubting what he always believed. That he was a sovereign prince of egypt but something deep inside is now questioning that, that theres always been some higher calling ornpurpose hnfulled and the final “all I ever wanted” is almost like a question. He makes himself certain butnis reassuring himself, but then lets go at the end.

get over myself? that implies that I'm talking about myself which i'm not. i simply offered a time to skip to for those other people that don't care for the noise before the music.
