To me, the bass sounds like it has very little tone of it's own, and I guess that is great for a very versatile player as you, to suit all the styles you have to play. 😀 That said, I still don't mind recognizing a bass players sound, like Marcus Miller, in music. It's like hearing a singers voice and instantly knowing it is that singer. Both works for me 😀

@@GertSterner i have to say that I might not agree with you 😬 If you listen to the long notes in my previous clip, Mili, you’ll hear that rich Fodera tone. Piano like. Like Anthony Jackson has. Bass players with a sound of there own are mostly from a time when they were the first ones to play a certain bass plus amp. Miller took the 78 jazz with rounds, Jackson Smith and later Fodera, Wooten Fodera, Jimmy Johnson Alembic. Nowadays it is pretty impossible to get a sound of your own. A style is something else.

@@Roogbass OK, I hear what you mean about Anthony Jackson. And I didn't think about the bass and amp sound, that are already "taken". Makes total sense. And, as you write, a style is something else. And I totally dig your style and your musicality in general. As I have written before, music just flows from you. You inspire me to play music again. 😀
