I agree. In the mid to late 60's, they had some of the deepest songs that were ever written. Of course, The Beatles got all the attention. Nothing against The Beatles, but The Boys were so underrated.

I heard Vegetables first - thought the vid - whilst appropriate, was distracting me from the qualities of the performance - so once I tuned out of that I thought it was very cool indeed and checked this out - I've enjoyed this as much as listening to Carl. You've a lovely timbre and I didn't get tired of the multi tracking of a solo voice which sometimes happens especially on the later BW solo stuff. I'll be checking out the originals definitely if they sound this good. :)

I'm always hapy when I find that people respect and cover Beach Boys songs from this period of their career. Sunflower is the best Beach Boys album in my eyes. Pet Sounds is aclaimed (rightly) as an all-time great album, but I find the entire group dynamic in this album (songs written and sung by all members) makes this a superior effort, even compared to Pet Sounds.
