@wcassady My dad use to dance with me to Surfer Girl when I was very young, so I always listened to them but when I was 15 my Aunt sent me a Beach Boys compilation album and I heard God Only Knows for the first time among others. After that I was hooked! I went out and got my hands on every BB/BW related thing I could. My mom started getting worried about my obsession when I was 15 and though it was just a phase but it never ended! :D

This brought me to tears in a way the variety of arrangements Brian has done has not. It has always been one of my favorite songs of his. Carl would have killed it. You have a sweetness, soulfulness and sadness the song requires. It's the new standard.

I'm sure there will come a day when you stop recording BB songs (unless you give us the whole shabang - which could take a while... ;D), but till that day... After less than 24 hours since I first saw and heard your version of this, I have to say that this is one of my all-time favourites of all time! You have the same ability that Brian has of taking a song and making it your own. Brian Wilson's new album No Pier Pressure drops Tuesday (4/7/15). He's getting a lot of press these days with the biopic in June, BrianFest recently, and this song featured on The Walking Dead. I just had to come here and listen to this version. It's a wonderful interpretation of one of his classics. I would pay to see you perform a concert of the songs you've put on KZbin. Yeah it seems that all of us BB fans fall under the obsessed catageory when it comes to their music. My brother brought back a cassette of Endless Summer when I was a kid and I literally wore the tape out. It wouldn't even play anymore! So I went out and grabbed everything I could of them. I have amassed a huge collection over the years so if there is anything in particular you are looking for then let me know. I probably have it.
