Note that if you are on MAC laptop - you will not be able to use the flagship SDRSharp software and the corresponding plugins. You will be limited to SDR++. Also note that this dongle was specifically designed with idea to optimize the hardware to HF - that’s why it is “limited”. This one also has INSANE sensitivity of below 140db. Huge built-in, low-insertion hardware filters. Two awesome SigmaDelta ADC and end-signal digitized to 16bits. It is awesome, while other SDRs are simply re-purposed TV chips - they have nothing of the above and deliver the end- in 8bits, even in 7. This also allows you to dedicate a small raspberry pie to be put to the cold-room/shack with the antenna setup as the server, while you hook up to it remotely over a local net, while sitting in the warm room in the nice chair.

I really like mine. Make sure you update the firmware. It's now V5.0.1 (December 11th, 2024). It improves the AGC and others.
