Way to battle back! That was awesome! Many of us don’t admit it but losing a huge pot can tilt someone. For someone that has come out on their vlog and admitted losing a big pot may sometimes tilt you. You have done a great job working on the rest of a complete game, the mental balance. The big AK hand, what you were saying to us the whole time about the opponent should have made you check back the turn. You have the Ace of clubs so you really didn't have to worry about giving him a free card. So why bet anything on the turn? You described the opponent as a ROCK, who NEVER gets out of line. So if true he wouldn't be flatting you out of position with AJ, AQ pre when you made it $600. If he called your flop bet as well, you needed to check back turn. And of course when he went all-in over the top of you on the turn you made the right decision to fold. He probably did that because HE was worried about the club flush draw potential that you might have. My guess is he had JJ and flopped middle set. You made the right fold but you should have checked back the turn.

I'm so glad I didn't quit my job to play poker. Every time I watch these sessions, it reminds me how hard it is to make a living playing poker and I have a certain quality of life standard. The big hand against Jeff. You say he never gets out of line, and he's been a $5/10 pro for years. That's all you need to know. 95% of the time you're crushed, usually drawing dead. Sure, 5% of the time, he has AK with the Kc or even AxQc. So what? That's the prize he gets for playing rock solid all the time - once in a blue moon he gets to make a move on somebody like you who can fold a big hand. But note that you can have top set here and he knows it. He's not getting out of line. Good fold.

Fully agree. As the video played and he asked "how much?" on the flop I immediately thought there's a good chance he has JJ or even AA that didn't jam pre. Obviously not a rock solid tell but just what I thought while watching 😂

Also, gotta admit that I gave a fist-pump salute to Jeff, when you were all, "Show for the vlog?" "Sorry, I can't." Man has a job to do, bills to pay. You, you get money from KZbin and appearance fees. Jeff, he gets money from playing rock-solid $5/10 hold'em day in and day out. He ain't need to be on a vlog, thanks. When he said that, I thought, "LexO was totally crushed on the flop. Jeff is a rock-solid professional to the last detail, including not showing his cards for the vlog. He was not making some silly move on you so he could brag to the camera how he bluffed your face off. He just wanted those pretty yellow chips."

Hind sight is 20/20. But when you describe your opponent as a rock, it’s tough betting turn against him. You mention you may get value from AT or some combo of suited Broadway. Idk if I agree. If you feel he’s heavily weighted to JJ +, check back and hope to get cheap showdown probably best option. Maybe flush gets there and he checks again, you can possibly bluff. Obvi many, many different outcomes. Long story short, check back turn is best IMO. Best of luck in your travels and looking forward to the new content.

When I hit my river card in big pots and the opponent thinks I sucked out doing a bad play, I always just let them know that I got lucky and I was just gambling. I try to keep the game friendly on the outside and keep my killer instincts on the inside. I don’t need them to know that I was calculating my odds and counting my outs or trying to bluff etc etc. Thanks for the entertainment! Appreciate it.

So I became a tournament dealer. Dealt several final wsop tables. Dealt over 100 tournaments in the next decade. Wpt, wsop, hard rock,etc. Loved it. On the road all the time. Love to watch players under stress with a million dollar decision. Covid shut it down

The AK against that particular opponent I think was a good fold. From everything you said I would assume him to have jack's there as it's unlikely he'd call out of position with AJ preflop. The suburbs of Philadelphia is an ideal locale for a poker player. Parx Casino has some of the best action on the east coast. You're extremely close to Atlantic City and now far away from Maryland Live and Mgm National Harbor in DC. Pennsylvania also has Pokerstars and WSOP online sites. Its not that pricey if you live about 20 miles outside Philly. Great vlog! Goodluck on your travels!

I think you are in 2 minds with the AKo 4bet. With your initial description on the SB, I think it's an easy check back on the turn. He can't have any of the hands that you would get "value" from after he calls flop bc your cold 4B folds them out. Interested to hear what you think HE thinks your cold 4B range is from the BB. As played seems like an easy turn fold.

Folding that AK on the river all in bet was a good fold...80% of the time your one pair is beat in that situation. Florida by far is the easiest money in poker. You're gonna miss it, but I do love the idea of being on the road for a while.
