I would def take time to study poker theory. Raising KQ off in the BB and then getting the perfect flop to donk bet, and no donk betting is simply not profitable. All the crushers spend 80% of their time studying.

Keep them coming Mac. Not the worst call with AK, closing the action for good, and the odds were right - didn’t cost you much. Man, very passive table - lots of preflop open limps and OOP calls by villians. Also seems that you are getting the job done with down betting on the flop with your continuation bets. I’m from the old school were my continuation bets are big like 2/3 & 3/4 pots - but it looks like most of the time you have been betting 1/4 & 1/3 pot taking it down. Keep them coming & play your game. What gets in the way of most players improving is ego & you are doing a great job making yourself aware of your correct plays, your mistakes, and fine tuning. You keep that up, manage your bankroll, & outlast the rake & variance you will move up quickly.

Really appreciate the in depth analysis and feedback. Some bigger bets have merit too in some circumstances and flops. I like to balence both schools of thinking. And most certainly. And that's the brilliant thing about the vlog is I get to hear so many opinions and learn from viewers like you. Appreciate you 🙏🏾 💯

"wasn't going to stop but since I was driving by but ..." ... love the dedication. great video, keep building that bankroll! my question for you: in the A5 hand, if the villian (not sure what their stack was) had bet $150 (2/3 pot) what would've been your play?
@MacksBet28
@MacksBet28 Жыл бұрын
In 1/3 live most players aren't betting that much as bluffs. So probably make an exploitative fold. On the other hand even if he had a hand like at or kt he would just check back with good showdown. So a bet like that is suspicious 🤔
@sandro_j
@sandro_j Жыл бұрын
If I was in the villain spot I would’ve put you on something like AK or AQ spades with a draw and sitting on overpairs… which is why i think they could’ve bet as a bluff. Especially with a 3. I’m learning poker myself and trying to read betting patterns for good spots to bluff. But you hitting the 5, I thin it would've been an call for sure. hard call though. Appreciate you including your strategy in your hands.

@@sandro_j yeah well you sound like a tough opponent 🤣 I'm glad he didn't bet tho. Tbh probably fold to a medium bet (value heavy) and really put on the thinking cap on a large bet (polarized)

ATcc hand. What about raising turn say to 150. That allows you to represent that you have the 6 or 67. It’s impossible for any hand to feel super comfortable against that raise. A3hh is concerned about 6. You can bomb river if no diamond. Lower flush draws afraid of you having nut flush draw with 5 high straight. Sets and 2 pairs really can’t call. You may get tight player with Ace off chop. This is all player and table image dependent. But when fold or call both don’t seem reasonable why not raise?
@MacksBet28
@MacksBet28 Жыл бұрын
That might fold a3d maybeeee. But never the t6d who has the second nut straight w a flush redraw

Question: What do you do when you’re in a mild card dead session? Basically when you’re not getting premiums, but you’re getting your J8s, K5s, A6o type of hands that aren’t quite good but are decent to call a small preflop raise. I know it’s always good to be the aggressor, but how do you mix it up? Maybe the dealers hate me idk
@MacksBet28
@MacksBet28 Жыл бұрын
Lmao! And I'm not perfect so sometimes I might play a game on my phone. But ideally you should study the table. Try to profile all the players. And watch for showdowns. As for getting those hands if I have the right players pegged ill 3bet light with those hands and if I know players are tighter ill just muck my hand. Too many reverse implied odds with those hands vs nits
@passiongaming7450
@passiongaming7450 Жыл бұрын
You use your position, and your image. You attack capped ranges, but if you’re playing 1/2, 1/3 only do this every so often only when you’re percieved as a tight player and if they do show any aggression back do not follow through on more streets as it means they have it.

I’d probably make same call as you did in AK hand against Q5dd. The amount you have to call 37 verses what you can win 122 locks you in. Yes, you are not getting right odds against that particular hand of Q5dd but there are two different straight draws and flush draws on this board. QJdd or 64dd would make same bet and you would be ahead. Even you when you called you had six out. If bet was larger say, 100 dollars, then folding make sense but this easily could have been push by player on draw
@MacksBet28
@MacksBet28 Жыл бұрын
Great point. I didn't even consider the two draws. But I guess subconsciously I did because I called 🤣🤣 but I feel in theory it's more of a call then in live low stakes poker. Feel me?
@Tonyplat98
@Tonyplat98 Жыл бұрын
It's not a bad call there with the AK even if he had top pair it's not such a bad call if all he had was $37 left in his stack. You're getting the exact implied odds to draw to an A or K to win that pot. Not a bad call by any means.
