Schizophrenia is a terrible disease that affects over 200,000 people each year. The following short horror film is a look into the terror that people with this disease face. Fortunately, this disease is highly treatable and, if caught quickly, people don't face as severe symptoms. Enjoy this film, and expect much more to come! Thanks for watching :)

The voices that tell you to kill, or something like 'you are worthless....pathetic....Mary doesn't care about you" or "we know you, if you tell anybody about 'us' we will expose you and your family to everybody who knows what's going on this moment" was some of the auditory hallucinations I experienced. Almost took my life at the nearby Mokelumne River when hearing these voices, but my friend grabbed me and pulled me down at the top of the dam. Never I told my psychiatrist about that incident, fearing he would evaluate me as harm to oneself. However, I auto thefted a vehicle, vandalized a store, and made terror threats to everybody inside during my times in psychosis and during the times in thought broadcasting. Anyways, I got the help I needed with first invega sustena, now on abilify and therapy sessions. Sometimes it haunts me, thinking back on it...and find it these days still putting up a struggle after 8 years. However, improved alot in a long period of remission.

When everyone thinks about schizophrenia they think crazy and voices... that’s not always how it is. I don’t get voices all the time and I may seem to be crazy but that’s just because I have the violence part of it.. but i am gaining more voices and times when idk of the voices are actually there or if I’m just hearing them because Im me.

My boyfriend has Schizophrenia too and he also has the violence part of it. His situation matches to what you’ve mentioned. How do you deal with it? I hope you are doing good tho.

as for someone who has these symptoms and not willing to call it schizophrenia or a mental illness also I found that listening to those voices to see what it really seeks helped me find my way in life. that being said my life is never a normal one, not then not now.

Lol, thanks. But I think I've gone pass beyond what's comprehended by religious cult, it's more than what you think it is and it's not good nor evil, it lies in that thin gray line which is unseen by many fellow humans.

the problem with our species is that we like to look at something, give a name to it and construct a rigid dogma around it in hopes finding some answer.

Angela: have you found NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), yet? They have free support groups and educational classes in most areas - for families and the one suffering from mental illness. There is hope! And NAMI can help you find it. Good luck to both you & your son (mine has Schizoaffective Disorder - a combo of bipolar and schizophrenia. He's doing OK right now, although his illness led him down a very awful path for awhile and he is in prison for it. His meds make an incredible difference, but it took time for them to find what worked w/o making him a zombie.) Hang in there!

Army is Everywhere hi, I’m sorry that you had to wait so long for someone to answer your question and my answers might be different from everyone else’s cause the symptoms are different from person to person but this is my answers based on my experience. I just wanna start by saying that I am diagnosed with paranoia schizophrenia. - I don’t know what you mean by “good voices” but to me, I would consider them a lot more positive than negative. Like to me they are trying to protect me from harm and warns me about certain things. They are also there when I need someone to talk to or when I’m experiencing a depressive episode. However they keep telling me that I can trust no one and that everyone is out to get me which I can see is a bad thing. - they are not real so no, at least not for me. They could make you hurt yourself but never have I experienced my hallucinations hurt me physically other than myself. - so far no. It only helps me to calm down after panic attack and I take them when I have to go outside too cause I get to scared to even step outside my house. I am still undergoing tests and stuff so maybe in the future I’ll get some daily medication but for now I only have pills to calm myself with.

@@michaelblankenau6598 mike vs michael: but seriously, even if you were to be looking at this from a "God" believing standpoint, the bible states that God created us, therefore He wouldnt change us, as therefore implied change is showing disrespect to His creation. So, you're wrong twice.

No this disease is actually real. I have it and it's fucking terrifying. I have tried to kill myself many times because of it. I want to feel safe. But I can't. I want it all to stop. I just hate my life. Schizophrenia is absolutely the worst.
