I totally agree with you about the Facebook fan pages for resorts. They are a wealth of knowledge about all things related to a resort. Often things you would never even think to ask about come up. For instance last April I went to TRS Yucatan (lovely resort btw and very good food/drinks) prior to going I had been on the Facebook page and asked about drink quality and in the responses someone said 'just as a heads up some of the bars have canned beer so make sure you take an insulated beer can cozy'. I had never seen canned beer outside of room mini bars at an all inclusive before so that was a great tip! All kinds of little stuff like that on there and sometimes you meet some great people. Ended up meeting up with 3 different people from the page while I was there.

Like most things you get what you pay for for the most part. Most higher end all inclusives have quite good food. This is where doing your research really pays off. If you look at enough reviews you get a good sense of the food quality even though obviously we all have different tastes and preference. Overall food quality and selection becomes pretty apparent if you look at enough reviews. Not sure if you have found this but I think food quality at all but the cheaper resorts has improved a lot since I first started going to all inclusives 30 years ago?? Maybe that's because I can afford way nicer resorts now but even at a couple mid price range resorts I've been past few years have had pretty good or even really good food. I think the difference with the more expensive resorts is that pretty much everything is good or really good whereas cheaper resorts its more hit and miss depending on day and venue. I've never been to anything less than a 4 star all inclusive but I've yet to have been at a place where the food was all bad and any 5 stars I've been to has been good to very good. The beauty of buffets is you can almost certainly find something you like and a big perk of the all inclusive thing is if you get a bad meal you can just go somewhere else and get something else!

Hii I love your channel and have learned a lot but I was wondering where to go I do have 4 spots but don’t know where to go as it will be my first vacation by myself with my gf my spots are los Cabos, puerto Vallarta, Cancun and the Bahamas where would you recommend?
@3Days3NochesКүн бұрын
I think it depends on what you’re looking for!! Cabos and PV are for adults, Cancun is great for couples, and the Bahamas are good for families

I stayed at Live Aqua in Cancun and the buffet serving utensils where laying on top of the food. This is not uncommon but it is not only sickening to think about all of the hands before you but people get sick a lot and management always blames it on to much alcohol.

I’ve worked in food service for 20 years and this is absolutely 100% responsible for much of the sickness at resorts . always keep hand sanitizer on your person at buffets and use it after trips up, and skip all foods with utensils handles touching the actual food

@ Yes! Also most of the buffet food is not kept to proper temperature and room service is almost always guilty of that. At a buffet l always go to the furthest end and dig all the way under to the untouched, unexposed food.

@@3Days3Noches In all fairness it could also be a Mimosa, or Bloody Mary or Bloody Caesar (spot the Canadian in the room) just so you don't get tired of the same breakfast each day!! lol. Joking aside most nicer resorts have a Mimosa/Screwdriver/Bloody Mary station at the breakfast buffet and/or bar service at ala carte breakfast restaurants so you can order one or have a shot of something in your coffee. As a Canadian side note I am noticing more and more resorts have Bloody Caesars at their bars now. 😁
