It's a little hard to hear you at times. The game's volume is too high. Not sure if the helmet is muffling your sound either. I still learned stuff though so good stuff man.

Great guide man! One tip that would help me is maybe lower the in game music volume as it can be a little hard to hear your great instructions/advice at times. Keep up the great work

big respect for actually going through all the techs. couldnt even manage to watch it. Btw can you explain why you start with taking all the citie tiles? kinda seems more sensicle to me to just take one and then build into that at least one building

@coosmictrooper3646 my reason for taking it is personal, definitely not an ideal strat fomapeople looking to be most effective. I just like to secure all around me first since that's what I've always done in 4x games and I guess it's just a personal preference. In my experience it can lead to slow buildup and can hurt you but usually early turns are danger free especially if your on a big map. Bottom line is, it's a personal choice but I definitely agree it isint the most tactically sound choice

@ConnorBailey-i5l i got them on the highest possible. My rig is pretty powerful so I can handle the extra load. It's very coh intensive so could cause some performance issues man on lower cpus

Do you have tips for countering tyranids specifically?

Tyranids are very versatile, they can adapt to any enemy given the chance. The best strategy against then is to match or exceed thete ai's aggressiveness. Anti infantry weapons like gauss weapons will do more damage against most of there combat forms. Hitting there synapse units will also leave the hive out of control, so target there leaders. If your playing a range heavy race, put some melee chaff in front to stem the tide while your powerful range anti infantry units tear them up

@@colonelstrat i usually play necrons, but i play against a friend of mine not ai. How do i know which ones are leader units?

@@colonelstrat the main problem is that he makes units so fast, i cannot keep up, even with higher damage and all considered, i just get overwhelmed by their sheer numbers.

@jani1848 that is there strength, Swarm tactics. what faction do you play? If it's necrons, I'd suggest building more defensively. Necrons move slowly so using any cover bonuses you have, flayed ones are a nice buffer and gauss weapons are good but the goal is to keep them busy until your heavy hitters come. The tyranid ai will always swarm, but even late game it'll still be swarms of weaker infantry units. Gauss platform units and the hulking monolith always turn the tide, but that's why the bugs are a big challenge, there many and annoying but clever defensive placement coupled with some melee units for distraction and if you happen to catch them before they steam roll is imperative to beating them. There always a good challenge tho

@@colonelstrat today we were planning to do a 2v1 against said tyranid main friend, i will be using necrons, but my other friend doesnt know what to bring, do you have tips for that? Should we try that one of us goes melee and the other ranged fully? Also thanks, so far your tips have been really good!

Yeah, def turn the in game music down if youre gonna narrate all of your vids with the helmet on lol. I couldn't hear much of anything. I know others have mentioned this already, but i figured id mention it again anyways for more awareness. Great vid otherwise, thanks!
