Something that Slaanesh seems to be lacking is a ranged unit. Even Khorne is getting a skull shooting cannon chariot, and it looked like the plague drones were shooting something in that preview battle,so it would stand to reason that Slaanesh would get something. The only thing I can think of though would be to take the Infernal Enrapturess (the new support unit that makes psycho-sonic attacks with their harp-man...man-harp?), lose the single model character aspect, add additional models to flesh the unit's size to that of jezzails, keep the support role ability of healing aura/model res, and call it an "Infernal Choir of Slaanesh".

@@briansteiner2886 But age of sigmra Slaanesh has range unit's and they have there own unique units most new units of Slaanesh are mortal but they are not reskins they look nothing like your usual chaos units it's new names and design units with unique lore.

I'd like to see CA make more models/units for factions that didn't receive that much love in the tabletop setting. Slaanesh is a perfect example, the Slaaneshi roster feels like it's 1-4 units too small. Also, it seems that CA, like GW before them, has gone for less of a "seductress/seducer" sort of vibe and have gone for more of a "BDSM goth" vibe. Not the biggest fan as it makes them feel too much like a lame offshoot of Khorne units instead of 'ethereal beauty' above, horrifying monster beneath aesthetic that they are described as having in the lore.

they definately should expand the semi Greco-Roman aesthetic and have some sort of Slaaneshi Peltasts for kiting, archers and mounted too. Just because you could technically do it on the table top doesn't mean that playing +100 turns with very low unit variety will be fun.

Tbh tzeentch roster seems small as well. It kind of baffles me with slaaneesh and tzeentch rosters being so small they didnt add chaos warriors for said rosters. I realise they are focusing on demons, but id say they have achieved that. Adding one or two more mortal units would have not taken away from the demon focused armies

@@nonameguy96 I honestly don't think the problem is CA wanting or not to focus on Daemons or Mortal (cuz let's be honest, all of the rosters have mortals, and Khorne is literally bloated with them at this point). I think CA, for whatever reason (either GW telling them no or because of internal bias), is somehow "afraid" of making any unit that didn't have a model prior in Warhammer Fantasy Battle (lore-wise or else). It does sound a bit crazy given that they pulled the Vampire Coast from nothing but a WD army list, but none of the units presented in the Daemon rosters so far is new (heck, they even confirmed themselves that none of Cathay units is their own, it's GW sending them Old World Concept Art and an Army Book to adapt). Thus, they appear to be filling the Chaos rosters with whatever existed in the Daemon of Chaos Army Book and improvising "new units" with variations (Dismounted Seekers became Marauders of Slaanesh, and Chosen riding on a Discs became Doom Knights). So my conclusion regarding the absence of Chaos Warrior outside of the Khornate rosters is because Khorne was the only God to ever receive properly reskinned Warriors for himself (Tzeentch, Nurgle and Slaanesh wouldn't receive dedicated mortals until the End Times or Age of Sigmar, which CA said they wouldn't pick on it, although they already did it).

I feel like all the "snaky" creatures in Warhammer have the snake portion of their body way too small? They often don't look like they're big and strong enough to hold up their upper body, like on the Dechala and Vandred models. The model with Styrkaar on his boobsnake also has this problem, although in the artwork you showed here the mount looked a lot bigger and more proportional to the rider, so that's more what I think it should look like. Anyway, I assume that Dechala might eventually have some sort of quest battle where she has to kill her daemon husband to become a daemon herself? That seems like the logical conclusion.

That quest battle would probably be to essentially unlock some extra trait or stuff like for Luthor Harkon getting his crazy fixed.

Iirc, Vandred does not have an official model. It's a conversion where the lower half is built using...Dechala the Denied one.

A fun thing about the Masque of Slaanesh, in 40k she infiltrated a harlequin troupe. The Solitaire of the troop matched her dance step for step fot six days and nights, until the Masque faltered. This broke the spell and caused her to flee in horror, the interesting tidbit is that Solitaires are the only ones who dance the part of Slaanesh in Harlequin troupes. This means she was outdanced by someone who could play the part of the god that damned her, and indeed may have been dancing as Slaanesh at the time.

In Storm of Chaos, there were Daemonettes mounted on the "boobsnake", called Pleasureseekers. They were a prototype monstrous cavalry unit, and hopefully we will see them in Total War one day.

So, to count off: Azazel - Obligatory Deamon Prince and that big Demon that is there just to be pure melee. Expecting Slaaneshi Scarbrand equivalent. Masque - The Legendary Alluress who likely buffs deamons like there is no tomorrow on top of a special dance AoE. T'challa - I smell buffs to monsters as she's the closest to be one. Maybe some dark elf units as a hybrid faction. Styrkaar - Him I would actually keep in the Slaanesh faction as the guy who buffs mortal units. Slaanesh seems to have a good number of maruaders already and we know proper flavoured Chaos Warriors are coming on top of maybe some AoS hedonites. He doesn't mesh well with the norscan units thematicly while a Slaanesh faction under him would have a lot to offer. There are a couple really intresting characters described in novels that CA should take a look at and maybe revive. But it's Jharkill who I would recommend as he is a Slaaneshi Ogre with 2 faces and a huge bow he himself curses with shamanic ways. Like, Slaaneshi Ogre hybrid and he also is a walking balista. I'd say you cannot outdo this. Vandred I feel should be an unlockable Legendary Lord rather than Hero who would be designed to run Slaaneshi units as they get unlocked under mechanics the Everchosen should have access to. Basicly Archeon should be able to unlock access to basic deamon units of all the 4 gods and the leutenants would be unlocked alongside that route as legendary lords cappable of boosting those deamon units via skill tree. It would make the flavoured deamon armies something more than just flavour.

Mask as hero Move sigvald the magnificent to Slaneesh Give Chaos undivided Archeon and Sun eater, give them a neat mechanic that when they beat a chaos faction, they unlock the ability to recruit the lords and heroes of that faction.

Would be nice to see some Slaaneshi alternatives to Khainite units for Morathi that could be used by both. Variations of the Doomfire Warlock theme, although more armoured. Obsessive poisoners? Repeater Crossbow Hellstriders? Elven athletes who throw long range hammers / discus ensorceled with warpfire?

It wouldnt suprised me if boobsnakes were made into monsters cavalery in possible dlc. I mean, I thought CA would never add zoats to welves and the madmen did it. And now that slaanesh mauroders are confirmed CA will have to start scratching bottom of the lore for dlc units. Outside of slaanesh chosen, slaangor and cult of pleasure delves there is nothing. BTW out of topic; has anybody checked the TWW3 map for possible Nagash starting position? With the way it is north western centric, I cant put a finger where Nagash could be put

Okay hear me out, Valka the Bloody vs Dechala the Denied One for a Slaanesh vs Khrone DLC. Khrone's Bride vs Slaanesh's Concubine, the Bloody and the Tormented. Plus the two could bring in more mortal units for the two god-specific factions.

they are going to have mortal lords in the main factions other wise we are going to get two of them at best one for chaos warriors and one for norsca and there are way more interesting mortals then daemons especially if they want to keep it interesting and not take any more grater daemons. i think they will mostly have two of each ever a prince or a herald class plus 1-2 mortals. My guess would be Korn: Scar brand, Skull taker, Valkia, Scyla, Arbaal would be a good choice as well Tzinch: Fateweaver, Changeling, Egrimm van Horstmann, with the blue scribes Galrauch or Aekold Helbrass taking the last spot Aekold would be cool as he isn't a caster he would be really tanky as well Slaneash: N'Kari, Azazel, Masque of Slaanesh, Dechala, Nurgal: could have a lot of options Ku'gath, Lothar Bubonicus, Epidemius or festus preferably the later instead as they are vary similar. the glot kin, gut rot,

I really hope that the next reworks will fokus on specific Lord mechanics for the 16 basegame Lords of TWWH1 and TWWH2... would be a shame if morathi for example would not get any slaanesh related mechanics.... also i really hope sigvald will change over to slaanesh... he is one of THE big slaanesh characters in game and there are only a few

I love Slaanesh unironically. Not in a weirdo r34 meme sexual way, but the way that its sort of a more weird artistic representation of Hell/Christian lore. You have Khorne which is the literal brutal fire, rivers of blood, war, red horned demons. Then you have Slaanesh which is Dante's Inferno, Temptation, Ideas, Corruption, Artsy. you get the gist. Older video but still a cool concept.

The problem with Azazel's model is not that it's old, there are plenty of old models that look fantastic. The problem is that it was sculpted by Trish Morrison, and she always ruined everything. Also she made Dechala.
