Evolve Multiplayer is once again playable via peer to peer on LEGACY Evolve (Not Stage 2 because Stage 2 is shutdown). It may not be the same as having actual servers to play on but it’s better than nothing at all. If you own the game on Steam (stage 2), you can install our legacy files from our discord server so you can switch to Evolve legacy. Why you may ask? Stage 2 isn’t playable anymore and Legacy Evolve is the only version capable of peer to peer multiplayer. You also need to install our free rice fix file for any of this to work and everyone in your lobby must also have it installed for it to work. I remember Evolve being the first game I ever followed from its inception. I was obsessed. I had a moment when playing, as a stage 1 Goliath where the hunters were gonna find me, so I tracked some footprints in one direction down a path, then snuck back and hid in a bush completely still. The hunters came and passed me by except for Daisy, who started to growl at me. The Maggie player kept looking at where I was, standing a few feet away, but couldn't figure out why Daisy was growling at a random bush. After a while she walked away. It was my favourite moment playing any video game. Can't even remember if I won or lost. This was before Stage 2 released.

There was a very hard to get skin for the Goliath monster that I managed to do that year... you had to eat 200 corpses to get the skin on a given level - after that you unlocked it! To this day, the game ends here in the drawer in a physical (boxed) edition.

I believe that feature is to force the hunters to come and fight you, instead of letting possible trollers to keep running away forever and make the game longer than necessary or even unwinnable for the monster. You can say it serves the same purpose as the capture zones in World of tanks: forcing the remaining survivors to fight and be done with it already

This game had more love and effort than most games doing well today. Dbd is doing well and it started with way less variety, then stopped even being a horror game, Cod is doing well with copy paste games that only get worse every time they release a new one, fortnite is the most absurd cringy shit ive ever witnessed cause its obviously marketed towards children but it still makes an unreasonable ammount of money. But somehow this masterpiece was forgotten. I have spent years of my life writing out a game trying to perfect my characters and story, so i am very attached to game design and it really upsets me to see this beautiful work of art neglected

The old version of evolve was great if you were the monster but unfortunately terrible as the hunters, the maps were much larger and the game didn’t provide nearly as much visual clues to where the monster was as evolve stage 2 does, so the monster could just circle around the map over and over again gradually collecting biomass to evolve to stage 3 where it became close to impossible to kill, then it would go to the power relay so the hunters had to go there to, then the monster would kill them because of its insane power in stage 3, I have the old version of evolve and the game is a fucking blast on monster, but hunters really didn’t have it good back then. It also didn’t help that only the trapper could dome the monster in the old game and if the trapper went down then the dome would go down, therefore making fighting anyone but the trapper completely fuckin pointless if you wanted to win.

But I don't know much about this game, so I have a question: Is there any downsides, disadvantages to use the 3 monster's "different variant" (Meteor Goliath, Elder Kraken, Glacial Behemoth)? From this gameplay video alone, it seems like these variants are just straight upgrades to these monster's "original forms (Goliath, Kraken, Behemoth)" with no clear penalty.

Goliath vs. Meteor Goliath • Goliath: • A tanky, brawler-style monster with a focus on physical attacks and fire-based abilities. • Abilities: Rock Throw, Leap Smash, Fire Breath, and Charge. • Strengths: Straightforward and versatile, excelling at dealing high damage through a mix of melee and ranged abilities. • Meteor Goliath: • An adaptation of Goliath that focuses on burn damage over time and area denial. • Key Changes: • Fire Breath and other abilities apply burn damage to targets, causing damage over time. • Some abilities, like Leap Smash, leave behind lingering flame effects. • Moves slightly faster than Goliath but has slightly less overall health. • Gameplay Style: Better for hit-and-run tactics and sustained damage through environmental control and debuffing hunters. I feel like game should been 8vs2 to add more gameplay variety and most of players not gonna feel anxiety of bad luck to be solo monster, and two monstears that talk and help each other to cover a tracks ... while one runs from hunters other one can freely farm and evolving, and it would allowed to keep bigger online and better match making system, two teams of hunters 4+4 can swap/split memebers to try hunt separately each for their own monster or combine forces and focus 8vs1 for fast elimination - but then they risk to give too much time to other monster that gonna reach let's say fatal stage 4 of Evolution. Game is nice, but i feeling that small variation of gameplay and small team of avaliable players and choices on the map ... become as to say chocking point that left only most loyal fans to desire this game, but online multiplayer games need a "casual" players and "casual" roles to survive, if game can't contain low'skill and high'skill players at same time - in most times it bound to fail.

I feel like a lot People say that this game failed because of not much update or content or that if one hunter is bad that it puts monster at huge advatage but overwacth ans dbd also had that same thing and so called loophople and repetitive game play but i feel like of they added more monsters ans hunters and maps and maybe more gamemodes and then put 2 version a free version which all hunters and monster that are curretly avabalbe but another version maybe 20 to 30 dollars whit all monsters ans hunters ans maybe a 2v8 gamemode like dbd or maybe 5v5 where each team consist of 4 hunters and 1 monster or maybe duels where is 1v1 both monsters or hunters i feel like that could revive the game

@@WiktorDorsz Yes but her decoy acts as an actual decoy. When wraith deploys her decoy, she turns invisible until the decoy dies. If you use any abilities or warp while decoy is active, it kills the decoy

@@zmei_sssssss Two completely different games. This is stage 2 and legacy is a whole other version of the game. I also uploaded videos on legacy. For your question on how I’m playing, I own both versions of the game and I’m able to play both without issues. Stage 2 can only be played offline with bots though while legacy is playable with other players via peer to peer.

@@Wolfchief151 Gorgon isn’t unfinished and didn’t ruin the games chances lol. What crushed Evolve was 2k and their disgusting micro transactions and the balancing issues. People also wanted a campaign because the game was $60 which was expensive for a multiplayer only game. Gorgon is also meant to be ugly. She’s a spider monster

@@chriscopsey4205 The game is literally 4 hunters hunting a monster and killing it… If that’s not what you want then Evolve isn’t your game. Has nothing to do with the gameplay. It failed because 2k stuffed it with overpriced micro transactions

@@uhemi09 there are plenty of ways to create a cat and mouse without it becoming a running simulator, to pretend like this was a good gameplay loop is delusional because you can clearly point at design flaws in most of the games systems
