@@tanle3049 last time I played, which was several years ago, I think I remember you had to buy specific pack that contained specific monsters, or hunters, or skins of both. And you had to use real money. It was honestly one of the few letdown of the game, along with the very few types of gameplay modes you had at hand

Behemoth was amazing! I remember the announcement trailer for him and it was awesome! It’s a shame he got nerfed because he used to be the best monster in the game but he’s an absolute beast in stage 2 though.

I loved this game. I had to watch it die twice which was sad. Played in a tournament towards the end of its second life (not third). You may already know but here's the little tricks i learned. Battle cabot is the fastest hunter in the game use your mortars to boost yourself in a direction while you recharge you jetpack while being knocked forwards. Master that and hes viable. Flying monsters on dam have a spot on the bottom right of the map where they can evolve ontop of a man made pillar. (Hard to spot) Damage amps effected meteors on cataclysm (probably not currently accessable). Sudden death damage boosts can apply to ressurected huntera by lazarus or emet. Fear leech is great for hit and run wraith gameplay and is the only balanced leech perk. Battle cabot can turn downed hunters invisible if they stop shooting making some cheeky laz play possible. On the overpowered game mode (probably no longer playable) sunny with 4 red perks gets their mini nuke launcher to fire 2 shots per reload with quick reloads allowing her to out damage the assault. Daisy both forms do not call the dropship and can be assassinated early to nerf maggie. Slim can shoot banshee mines to recharge his healing. There are numerous places on the dam where switching to bot hunters can let you get out of the map and explore.

I was in middle school when it was announced and a friend told me about it during class and when it was released, I immediately went to Best Buy and got a physical copy to play on Xbox one. I had no idea it would end up being one of my favorite games to play. It’s a shame what happened to it. Evolve deserved better.

I was in the same position. I didn’t get to enjoy stage 2 as much when it first came out because I didn’t have a pc so I would play only legacy. I would play stage 2 on my dads pc instead but that was rare because he was working all the time. However, you can still play legacy via peer to peer on pc with our rice fix. If you haven’t joined our discord yet, I highly recommend you do so. We have over 40,000 members in the server.

@uhemi2009 people just hadn't realized yet how good 4v1 games can be. And while Dead by Daylight is a different style of game, it is still a group vs a monster. God I used to play the game so much when it was live. And I was so thankful that I could keep playing on my Ps4 when the servers finally died. And then of course as fate would have it, I had to sell my ps4 and was never able to find my original login . Ugh sorry for rambling. I'd just like to say how glad I am that at least some people are keeping the game alive for a potential comeback one day.

this into something more akin to anthem type world or big open world; where focus was on playing monster, eating villages, hiding in cities,forest etc. just a nice monster survivor openworld map with a continual ability to evolve and created next spawning small versions of oneself to do what you do, or bring them for bigger city raids ^^ would have been awesome. the monsters are generally very cool, the rest off the game not so much.

They had so many plans on expanding the game and adding more maps but 2k shut the game down before they could. They were even going to bring stage 2 to consoles which would have been amazing. Turtle rock even had hunter variants in the works as well. There was going to be a Hyde trapper variant I believe, a bucket assault variant, a bucket trapper variant, a laz assault or trapper, and so many more. They were also going to add new monsters including the Leviathan which was a worm monster that digs underneath the ground and snatches hunters from below and kills them. So many things and 2k killed it

Playing as Kraken and Wraith is so difficult that it's a real hell against ordinary people. Everything was better before the 2nd stage. There was no auto-scanner that would show where the monster was every minute, because of this, invisibility and Wraith bait ceased to be relevant. The cards have become small, there is practically no balance.

man, i miss this game... although it was somewhat unbalanced. take the explosion ability on wraith at level 1 and use it as additional mobility and engage during hunting. empty your Tp charges to quickly cover ground towards prey, then use the explosion for more mobility to initiate combat with prey. also take fights in dark areas with lots of hiding places - bang out abilities to burst enemies down, then quickly hide and use your phantom ability to keep them occupied while you wait in hiding for your cooldowns to go down. wraith was amazing, i managed to end evolved stage 2 on a 100% winrate. my worst one was kraken, unfortunately, since i always thought it was the coolest monster design wise.

How did you retain all your skins, mine are all gone after they shutdown servers.

@@AjayKumar-hx4bu Not sure. After shutdown in 2023, I was still able to play with all the skins. A few others are still able to play with their skins as well. If you still have the skins available on another pc, you can transfer over that steam directory to your current pc and it will transfer the skins as well

In my case, I still had the skins and characters available on my old pc but when I installed the game on my new pc, there was nothing. So I went to my old pc, copied the steam directory entirely (not just the game folder), pasted it into a usb drive, and dropped in the same exact spot on my new pc. And just like that I got all my skins and characters back

Last year they rebooted it partially. You could play multiplayer, but that was all they reinstated. For a few weeks. Sadly after that they shut it down again. Then made an announcement that they wont continnue with the game basically.

Yes I know, I was there streaming it the day they brought it back all the way to the end lol. The servers were actually online for a year before 2k shut them down again. They made a post in-game saying they need to divert their resources elsewhere and a few days later, they announce their Lego racing game. What a joke but it was their choice. Unfortunately, no. If you’re getting that glitch, it’s impossible to play. I recommend just switching to legacy. Everyone is playing there anyways

I feel like the game was just too ambitious for its time, mostly because Asymmetric multiplayer games weren't super popular back then especially when you had COD at it peak and Halo during that era. But with how popular DBD has gotten if the game was released now you would definitely have a pretty big, dedicated player base for it. I know I would hop off DBD and give it a good grind.
