About the same number that has them now. These represent the top 1% of technology. Mercedes Benz advertised in the 60s all the tech we got in the 80s. All the advances of the 80s came at the turn of the century. All these have the potential to be common parts by 2040.

I wouldn’t buy a Chinese supercar even if I had a billion dollars. Chinese brands are just not cool for that. However, I’d be the first one to buy a high end BYD road car that cost 70% less then ugly Tesla.

Yes. I know all this and much more but you still don’t get the point. If you go back to my original comment, you’ll see what I said about Chinese cars taking over because they are great and cheap and even I’ll buy one if I’m given the choice. I’m not surprised Porsche closed over 4000+ dealerships, that’s because they got greedy thinking every ordinary Chinese person can afford to spend $150K + on a Porsche. My comment was in Brand image only! Ok. Let’s put it this way for all the people having issues with my comment. Why does top of the range Xiaomi Phone with higher spec cost 80% less then a basic iPhone? it’s because Apple has brand image Chinese companies can never compare. I saw a documentary where a 14 year old Chinese boy secretly sold his kidney to buy an iPad. Have you heard anyone selling their body part to buy a Xiaomi or any other brand? This is called brand image! Chinese products will never be premium but they are getting better and better and they are financially accessible to all, that is if they are given the chance to enter European or American markets without tariff. As we all know, most Chinese cars and everything else from China is usually a copy of like for like design including theft of intellectual property of others. How can you steal from other’s and be respectable or have a brand image? The Chinese just don’t seem to have a concept or understanding of what is right and what is wrong! They seem to understand everything else western like copying European hair color, eye color, names, religion, clothing even adapt European culture over Chinese. Respect cannot be bought but has to be earned 😂😂 😢😢 😉 😉

The Chinese are not coming, they are here already. However, most cars, watch and sneakers sold in this world is for brand image. One thing China doesn’t have is brand image! Not just internationally but also in China or at least no Chinese will pay $300K on a Chinese car, when they can buy a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche or McLaren for that. A few of these cars may be bought or forcibly sold to Chinese millionaires and billionaires by the CCP. China should focus on what they do best, continue to improve quality, performance and value 😊

Oh yes I’m fantasizing. Other then the Chinese, no other race or nationality systematically and shamelessly steal and copies others intellectual property. If one needs to be respected and be a power then one will need brain power. Copying F22 & F35 looks very impressive but what’s missing is the Brain and Tech on. Let’s see who buys a Dong Feng Ting Tong Chinese supercar. Patriotism is good but not very cool when you copy everything from the West including their hair color eye color skin color their names and even their religion. No. Brand image will never shift to Asia simply because not everything can be bought with money or copied idea but what will shift to Asia is more and more rich Asians will be able to afford to buy expensive European Cars and average Asians will buy cheap Chinese cars (I’m not saying they are not good quality or well made) The Japanese make the best cars in the world as we all know for a fact but Japanese cars don’t have a premium like German or Italian cars. Why is that, can you explain? You seriously think the Chinese can make better cars than the Japanese? You are right everything is moving to Asia but it will always be third best (third best is better than nothing)

Everyone will vote with their wallets. Wallets aren't racist and value for money does not discriminate. Maybe Ferrari and Lambo still own the brand image, eventually the Chinese will catch up. Chinese cars are already chipping at Mercedes, BMW and Audi/VW/Porsche's market share. It's inevitable that they will make even higher performance cars, that look as good or even better than current Ferraris and Lambos, for a fraction of the price.
