For heating the 2k gal, there is a water temp balancer that is used for spa tubs. You may need to install a wye from the tank or a cold water line to get the appropriate temp.

Man your place is like a public aquarium. You should charge admission. All your displays and everything are so well done. Very impressive! I hope all the public professional aquariums around the country are taking note of your expertise, knowledge, and passion. You really should write a book, maybe you already have I don’t know. It’s wonderful that you have the financial ability to take this hobby and science to a much higher level. 👍

Do you hold off feeding them until spring? I have some gold fish outside and I'm not 100% sure when to feed them. @thekingofdiy 3 жыл бұрын
None of them took 15 minutes. Not a single one. The 15 minute timer was to create excitement for your guys. Watch them back, not a single tank showed the timer for the full time. I reset it several times or made it go off when I needed it to. In the end, I had a lot of fun making those videos.

You could use the heater through a temperature regulator - I've used them when I had heaters within the aquarium, that way I could maintain a specific range of temperatures without running my heater consistently since it was slightly overpowered for my 125. for the air algae you could try to take it out by hand as much as possible and than use an algaecide, i advice you to try with the algaecide made by Aquili, i don't know if you can find it in Canada cause its an Italian brand, but if you get your hand to it try it out, it really worked well with my tank and plus it's based of a biological/ecofriendly compound.

the bichir looks so lonely, put a few more bichirs, the saddled bichir grows to 2 feet long and all bichirs are social animals. Also, you need some active bottom dwellers in 2000gal, and maybe a bigger fish than the sevrums. In the pond you could put some sturgeon, it will look more lively and they are a coldwater fish too so it will suit the climate you are in.
