For heating the 2k gal, there is a water temp balancer that is used for spa tubs. You may need to install a wye from the tank or a cold water line to get the appropriate temp.

Thank you for the update! 🐠 I haven't been following video to video lately so it's nice to see what you're up to these days. How long do the koi hibernate for? Do you hold off feeding them until spring? I have some gold fish outside and I'm not 100% sure when to feed them. I've slowed down feeding them but didn't realize until this video that I should probably stop feeding them all together for a bit. I'll have to find you on tik tok lol

You could use the heater through a temperature regulator - I've used them when I had heaters within the aquarium, that way I could maintain a specific range of temperatures without running my heater consistently since it was slightly overpowered for my 125. But this is definitely also a great solution!

for the air algae you could try to take it out by hand as much as possible and than use an algaecide, i advice you to try with the algaecide made by Aquili, i don't know if you can find it in Canada cause its an Italian brand, but if you get your hand to it try it out, it really worked well with my tank and plus it's based of a biological/ecofriendly compound.
