When Ruth paused before saying Jake a part of me thought maybe she wanted to call him Joey. I don’t know if Mary Fickett had been back yet since they changed his name.

The scene was sad. Ruth was so old she could barely remember her lines. And Phoebe had no lines.

What’s sad is that Mary Fickett actually passed 2 weeks after AMC ended on ABC, but couldn’t she was ill for a number of years prior and was forced into retirement.
