So we get to the jumping section with the crystals, and one guy had previously been fucking around and shoulder charging people off the map. Which, at first, was funny, but he had been doing it to the point where everyone was getting annoyed. He did it to me once during the crystal section, and I told him, “Alright, enough, do it again and I boot you.” And he does. So I decide, “Fuck this,” and I boot his ass. Moral of the story, it only takes one person to ruin a raid night. Be that person be doing well-intended things or malicious things.

Watching Marco try to convince his team to use the exact strat that took our team 5 hours to figure out and then proceed to successfully clear on the 3rd attempt after switching to but none of his teammates seem to understand/agree is so frustrating to see. Man for our day 1 raid experience, i did it while on vacation. I'd brought my PC to the hotel room, and got it setup and ran off the hotel wifi. And when the raid time came; around 12:40 the fire alarm went off. Good start. Regardless 12 hours and 5 minutes later we finished the raid. But i had to keep it down cause there were 4 people sleeping :D. Suffice tp say good memories

The other mechanics can be easily done without her, they would probably just exclude her a lot. But Atheon (especially if you have no idea what's going on) you need everyone to be on the same page, did this raid when it was brand new on D1, it's literally the same thing, except sword flying wasn't a thing yet. Even then we called them out like Marco did, far and close whatever direction, we called out a cleanse etc and it was an easy raid, but if you got someone like Kenner? oh boy, it becomes from fairly easy to extremely impossible. Unironically enough they could've excluded her for the Atheon Oracles since the others are fairly well geared so they could beam the Oracles without her (doubly true if she's not even teleported)

This raid isn't really (mechanically) that hard I understand wanting the day 1 experience to be fresh so not researching the mechanics makes sense

Man thank you for this. Flash backs to the first time I ran vog in destiny. No one knew what to do and it was the most frustrating and exciting thing in gaming history for me. 7 of us just got back into destiny 2 n can't wait to run it again. Cheers
