I take long breaks before I go back and watch through some of my favourite artist videos, and recently I've taken such a long break because I've fallen out of love with life and therefore out of love with creating. I've paused this video in the google slide aye-aye portion because I can feel myself getting emotional, your creativity, boundary pushing and excitement for art makes me desperately miss who I was and makes me want to find it again. Hold on to the joy you feel for creating, you are absolutely amazing and I really really hope your second year is going as great as the first.

I feel kind of bittersweet watching this cause I didn't get to follow my dream of going to art school instead I studied computer software eng at uni and now have a full time job with that degree and tho the income isn't bad my love definitely resides elsewhere. Your art is very inspirational and beautiful, I wish you luck and success in the rest of your journey. and the gifs were my favorite part ! ❤

So excited for this! I’m just about to finish my first year illustration degree too so it’s super interesting to see what other illustration students at different unis get up to!💛

Hello Em, just seen your videos today, and bought four of your prints. You are really inspiring me to do what I did at art school again. You could have added the word, "not" to the ugly cover. I am writing a few books, (novel, coffee table inspiring, and few picture books) and I thought a few months ago, that even though I am an artiste', 7 years of Tafe and Uni to become an art teacher, I thought someone else could do my illustrations. So, I have a few donkey books like yours, mock ups of layouts so just roughs of where information and pictures could go. I went to change to design, woodwork and metalwork, and graphics, but even still, I am not the best at drawing actions, or people in action, or animals in poses. So there is doubt there. Then I did Montessori, so again another 4 years and drawing lessons was part of every day. I think I prefer one off things in my own animation, not doing them too often, so I am not cut out, lol for the work as an illustrator. I don't really know about indesign, or gimp, or animation, except I did a bit in powerpoint for my book at uni. I have some domestika coruses to do in these, some in Spanish. However your journey shows, that just by doing it, you got better at it. Not only that but the teachers, giving you 100 aye ayes to do, naturally you have to do it more than once. In printmaking for example, my major I didn't like to do series of 5 the same. So, I think my nature of my own art practice is more raw, one offs, and when I do a series of 5 it is rare.... I appreciate your work, as it shows a lot of nature inspired things, without character movement at all, which is a bit like what I do. Have you taken your work to a publisher? Are you still at uni, Em? What uni? Are you on a list for illustrators, a platform so people can find you to hire you? Or do you do your own work, for your shop, and that is enough? In kindred spirit, Eliza Most Beautiful Day is Today! 20th of April 2023 1:17pm Dulwich Hill, Sydney Australia xx

Dear Em. I really love watching your videos about your art. They are very inspirational and fun. You must have a great time making them. Any chance for a video in which you show how you are making your textured collages from start to finish? They are stunning.
