When I was 11, I wrote to multiple Muppeteers and the late Carroll Spinney (the original Big Bird and Oscar the grouch) responded to me in the biggest way I could think of. He sent me a stack of autographs, postcards, thank you letters and illustrations he did. Steve Whitmire (who did characters such as Rizzo the rat and Wembley Fraggle and took over Kermit and Ernie after Jim Henson's death) sent me a thank you letter and an autographed picture of Kermit the frog. R.I.P. Caroll Spinney (1933-2019).

Yesss!! You should start doing fan mail. It's one of the best feelings to get a response back from someone you love!

I know I'm stating the obvious, but it's worth bearing in mind that celebraties receive a LOT of mail. Patience is key, both when composing the letter and when awaiting a response. Don't rush the letter, keep it to the point and neat! Don't be disheartened if you don't receive a reply as soon as you may expect. I received replies months later. It's a great feeling to get a reply, however please remember that they may be unable to reply based on the quantity of mail they get from all over the world. They will also be unlikely to get time to read every letter received

I've never received any notes or letters, I consider it lucky if they even add my name to the autograph. Maybe I should write longer letters. However if I wrote longer letters I would be afraid of irritating the actor because they may not like long letters.

Great video Lauren 👏 i sometimes send A&As out not many though I'm sending one out tomorrow to a legend boxing coach who coached alit of great boxers and he coached the Kray Twin's as kids I did about 7 questions for him to answer loved seeing them interesting my birthday is in July so I'm planning to buy a new book shelf unit to put on all my autograph folders as I've got a small room and have them in boxes and a big shopping bag so what easy access to pick them up etc better xx

Whose the actor? Send to the new one but tell me the address. I’ll let you know if I think it will work. You’ll see in my next video not all addresses work and I give tips how to find ones, etc.

I'm confused how did you get handwritten letter replies when you emailed them. Did you include your address in the email?

So when emailing they will reply back with an autograph and sometimes a letter they’ve written. Yes! Always include your address. I’ve had so many emails where no one replies to me yet I get something in the mail from someone!

HHAHAHAHA oh yeah! There are SO many people I haven't heard back from. I would say my success rate varies year to year. When I first started I sent to so many addresses I didnt know would not work, but I also got so many replies. Now, I dont send TTM that often but from my most recent stuff I would estimate that prob 25% I got back and I am still waiting on 75% of the stuff? But that is also because I sent to some addresses where I took chances, not sure if they'd work. Hopefully, my answer makes sense!

I’m not quite sure what you mean. You mailed to someone in the mail but want them to reply to you with email?
