Got a tip to further waterproof your Garmin. Get some hair spray and spray enough on a paper towel to make it wet. Then rub the hairspray on the seams of the unit. The hair spray will help form a seal. I have used exactly that method on My e bikes electric components. Not a single failure. It works.

Subscribed today. Love the mods. Love the concept of this bike. I live in Australia, am quite short and love the idea of this type of engine combined with a low seat design. I think this may be my next bike. Your mods are inspiring simply because I didn't realise that there was that much out there for the Vulcan S. Well done and many thanks from over here in Oz.

your are the first person on youtube i see that put a windshield to that bike. i have just got the new honda rebel 500 and in the first moment i got it i knew a winshield was needed. why? because you can go fast without pain in your chest. a lot of people dont understand that and they just complain about it. i spent 700$ in accesories from thailand because i want to make it mine.i like the vulcan s, but as i wanted a bike that will last forever with me i chosed with my heart, is my dream bike since 2017, and now that i have my drive license and the new fixed rebel 2020 i finally bought it. i know that if i choose vulcan s , i will always think about the rebel. be safe and enjoy your ride.

Very useful review! I like the way you set up your gear indicator and 12v plug. I am currently in the market for the Vs. Good to know about the Booster Plug as well. I pretty much like all your mods except the bags. But, good to know that can be an option for a longer road trip. I would like to hear that Exhaust without the db limiter. Is there an option for cruise? Very nice ride overall though. I'd rate it a 9 out of 10! (Only because of the bags...)🤘😎🤘

I'd love to add the lightbar, but they don't come blacked out... I use the Kriega Drypacks on the givi racks, they look good in my opinion, but some people hate that I've made my Vulcan into a motocamper. Also have a quadlock on it for the phone. James R You should be able to do a straight up replacement although I’d recommend a Booster Plug. It’s 1/3 the cost of the Power Commander, really smoothes out the power band, greatly reduces engine braking and it increased my gas mileage! Thanks for your question James, hope you subscribe. -Tripp

I also have the STS Smart Turn on my Bonnie. Had the same problem and it is down to those soft rubber pads you need to put in the switch to stop it latching, sometimes they dont crush enough to switch the indicator on thus you have to push harder. For now I have put a couple of small springs in each side of the switch out of an old pen and it works fine...for now... but these being small could tip and jam (as I foresee it) I have therefore ordered conical springs from Ebay 8 mm base dia. 5mm top dia. and 5 mm high. These cannot tip . I am still waiting for delivery and I will post again here and let you know how they fair. The Smart Turn is superb so dont despair I promise you it is the switch. Great Vid thanks.

First, I like your Vulcan S and the mods, very tasteful and proportionate to the bike, not gaudy like some others I have seen. I almost bought a used one last fall, but asking price did not justify what was essentially the basic bike. I ride an EN 500 that I am very happy with. A Honda convert, if you can believe it ! I hope I am within your target number for the Shoei helmet giveaway. I cannot afford a $$$$$ helmet, but it would be great to win one in a draw. Great vid, I am looking forward to some prime youtube viewing.

Tripp On Two Wheels thanks man, I will look into it more deeply. What about the STS breaking system, did you install it or did you have somebody do it for you? I have to do a video on my mods which are quite similar but not so many. One thing you should look into is replacing the back light with the Puig tidy system and also change the blinkers with LED ones which is the next thing I will do.

Looks good. Those R&G pegs you're not thrilled about may have a solution. Idk what diameter they are but you might be able to get a pair of black rubber grips off of a children's bike, and slide them over the pegs. If they are a tough loose, you could zip tie them or use wire to secure them on there. Just a thought.

I agree with you saying the Vulcan S sounds like a sewing machine, especially when its first started and idling. I didn't like the looks of the stock muffler. It reminds me of a bomb attached to the bottom of a World War II dive bomber. I like the idea of a concealed exhaust on my Vulcan S, but I needed more sound coming out of it. I ended up buying a CS Racing exhaust for mine. It wasn't cheap, around $700.00 which includes taxes and shipping, but its well worth it. It took a little while to get it, but still worth it. It blends into the bike very well and looks practically concealed.

i spent 1200 dollars all together on the givi monokey system.... fully half of that was a matching pair of trekker 33s (33 liter hard cases) and it was worth every penny... with givi monokey you have to realize you only need to buy those cases once.... the system to mount them to the bike needs to be bought for every bike you own/ move on to... but the cases will mount to any monokey system. and if you eventually buy bigger and smaller bags you can adapt to what space you actually need. if you have the 22 liter cases you can throw those on when your only going ona day ride and want to bring your lunch or some water with you.. or if your going to go and pick someone up... you can load the 44s on a monokey and store 2 full faced helmets if needed.
