Beautiful blooms! Coelogyne nitida is one of my favourites. So striking! 😍 I've been hardening off my Cyms. for the past couple weeks. In Kamloops, BC Canada (semi-desert) gotta watch sun exposure and night temp drops, and we are climbing to the 30sC this weekend. Thank you Roger!

I really enjoyed this video reviewing the status of your orchids. I was very glad that you explained the presence of the geraniums and /or pelargoniums as I was wondering what they were doing there during the entire video!! I really like them a lot, but my little patio hasn't room for them, especially since I've just potted up three gorgeous herbaceous peonies y also, have three buddleias which I will underplant with organic parsley for swallowtail butterfly larva. Two coral colored roses, one cl., coneflowers (echinacea) and rosemary. My orchids seem to be languishing for lack of attention, but new growths visible on many. Looking forward to the new staging for the bonsai. I only have one cymbidium and will set it outside soon as temps permit.

With most of the planting done now, sorting out the Bonsai to better display the best trees will make my outside space a pleasure to be in. I'm hoping to paint the shed and fence soon too.

If those end up being buds on that nobile keiki, and if there is a new growth coming on it, I would knock the buds off so that it focuses on growing instead of blooming. You know what the blooms look like so there is little reason for it to spend the energy.

Yep hardening of is appropriate but I think is needed less for yours as it only indoor for 6 mths, in my opinion. My pref, your channel, is not to show the blooms of spikes. More anticipation to see how long and what they look like. With your growing season have you considered pushing it along with the lights and heat (I understand your limitations you have to deal with)
