Thank you. I'm completely blind, so I was unable to tell which one was which until I found this comment.

John Mike...apologies for a post on your Acoustic Samples/Scarbee J/Jay Bass comparison. I didn't realize you had THIS vid out. Another winner. I have all BUT the Jay-Bass. Not sure why that happened. They are all so wonderfully old school. none, of course sounded like my 57 P-Basses....which I sold years ago for needed house purchase. Happy to subscribe!

Thanks very much for the tone comparison between these bass sims! Truly did help. Decided to go with the Pre-Bass Amped and the MM-Bass

Thanks so much for this. I have 'em all, but am loathe to DL and load 20+GB of samples when I really only want one. I might actually load 'em all up on a separate (bass-dedicated) machine at a later date, but this made me realize I want the Jay-Slap.

You may know this. I'm trying to just do a simple bass walk, but sometimes I try to reset and start the pattern over and it doesn't work. I'm using the Kontakt arpeggiator to do this.

as far as i know, if you want to slide from one note to another, you when pressing the first, press down the second one without let it go the first one. And thats how you get a slide.

sorry for my newbie question but... Can I use a real bass guitar to trigger this vst?

I don’t think the technology exists yet

Play guitar through Melodyne 5, use the midi it generates Melodyne's midi is far superior when it comes to slides and bends etc. I guess a real electric guitar works well.

Cool sounds. Did you use any compression/effects on these? Mine doesn't sound so meaty out of the box. Sorry if this is already answered.
@Johnmike6 жыл бұрын
Thanks and no these were all right out the box no effects added
@cjgoeson6 жыл бұрын
Could depend on the sensitivity of your keyboard and the velocity of your playing.

Hi John. Thank you for your great videos. I noticed that whether it’s on your iPad or Mac you play on a high latency setting- 1024 or more. Aren’t you bothered by latency?
@Johnmike7 жыл бұрын
Deddi Boy not sure where you got that from...I’m normally around 256 and no higher than 512 when playing...

+Deddi Boy gotcha...yea that was how it was set it the app by default...I had literally just downloaded the app and I did the review...I honestly didn’t notice the latency played fine to me...but usually as a practice I don’t go any higher than 512...try to live around 256
